Hot Take: This team will never get over the hump, until we move on from Bryce.

People keep bringing up Mayfield and Darnold but then leave out both of them have #1 WR to throw too lol

Evans was out for several weeks with a hammy.  During that stretch Baker averaged about 70%, 225, and 2 TDs per game.   I mean does Tampa have better talent on offense than Carolina then?

Or like I've stated that we will finally know for sure.

But you won't that's the point of QB purgatory, dude.

There will always be another reason why it didn't work out or you didn't see enough and then it's another year and another year until the band-aid gets ripped off. I know you and the Bryce crowd want him to work because it will put the franchise back on track but hoping doesn't make him better.

I said it earlier, Franchise QBs don't have the fanbase split on whether they are the guy or not.

You don't have this kind of debate when the guy is the guy.

People love to say this and I don’t think most fans are crowning Bryce as the franchise quarterback yet, but what is the alternative right now? We are picking 7th in this draft, the two first round QB’s will be gone well before then. What free agent do you think will perform better than Bryce has these last two months?

Our roster is the worst in the league. Lets please spend one offseason addressing that instead of pretending another new QB will get us winning again

You lot would have moved off Josh Allen early so we know how your franchise QB takes go

The alternative is you understand Bryce isn't the future AND that this team isn't a QB away from contending anyways.

You trade Bryce for whatever the best offer is for him this offseason then go and sign someone like Jameis or Wentz this offseason to be the starter next year.  Both are going to end up costing your team wins, it's they're not starters anymore, but they both have big arms and aren't afraid to sling the rock.

It will help our young offensive weapons grow as they'll get tons of targets from all sorts of routes, but yes, they're likely to cause us to lose a lot of games, which is fine as it's a QB loaded draft next year, where we then draft a QB with our 1st rounder.

Fans won't like it next year while we're losing, but the reality of the situation is that it's the fastest way to get us back on the right track towards having a contending team again.  If we luck out and get the #1 pick and get Manning, then we could have a really bright future too.

Yeah we could afford Wentz or Lock for not much at all. Kid needs real competition.

There's literally no way Young would beat out Wentz/Lock/anyone without you saying the competition was rigged from the start. I don't even need to wait to know that response. And before you say "oh but you think Young is the greatest ever" no, I don't, read my posts sometime to get my opinion on Young. I'm just not as much of a hater when a guy is playing like he's played the second half of the year (better than 95% of this awful roster).

LMAO... that some of you all still to this day do not actually realize that it is going to be almost next to impossible to surround Bryce Young with an all pro caliber player on offense at every position & still have any resources or money left over to invest into the defense.

still LMAO to keep from crying   ...just saying

Young: top 5 rated qb the past 2 weeks

People in this thread: young is the worst starting qb in the league! Sign Flacco, wentz, (insert random qb who hasn’t been good in 5 years). They are all better than young will ever be!!!! He is the reason we are losing!

Defense: Gives up almost 400 yards in the first half last week and not too far off from being statistically the worst defense in PPG of all time.

    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
