Same, I’m not against a coaching change at all. Would love for us to go back to the 4-3, the forced conversion to 3-4 just hasn’t worked at all. 
 

with that said, defense is far more of a talent issue than anything else. We are starting essentially backup on defense. With very few exceptions most of these guys aren’t starting on any other team in the league. We are that bad. 
 

our WR situation isn’t much better, lord knows I love some Adam Thielen, but on a team like the Bengals or the Vikings for example he’s a 3rd or 4th option at best. Our WR core is abysmal. People need to realize we are a very depleted roster.  
 

we can maybe make the defense serviceable with the right moves this offseason. But unless we get someone like Higgins we are gonna struggle again on offense next year. I have no faith at all in Leggette, he’s been awful.

No one could work with this defense, but no one cares. Someone has to take the blame for this defense, and it's going to be Evero.

I’m indifferent on firing Evero,  but I don’t know how you look him in the face after you spent 100 million on guards, made one of the most lopsided trades ever for a shaky qb, let his best pass rusher go for next to nothing on the trade market, watched two anchors of his defense go down in Brown and Shaq; all the while giving him next to nothing on the defensive side of the ball talent wise for the last three years.

So what do these two expect? No coach wants to work for Tepper. We cant fire him for at least another two seasons and we’ve made some progress this year. Today was a game where it seemed like we didn’t care if we won or lost. I think the decision was made after last week’s win to shut down the season and do some evaluations for the remaining two games. Not sure why everyone has sand in their pussies over this loss.

He's gonna have to be here a decade to get a head coaching job.  That's not happening.  Nobody is hiring their head coach from the Panthers this year.

Forcing a 3-4 from a 4-3 creates quick fix personnel moves and patchwork re-shuffling an organization has to make.

What we see on our defensive roster are a bunch of castoffs and journeymen so I do think the problem is more the "Jimmy and the Joes" vs. The X and Os. With that said, the defense being historically bad without seeing results in the changes to the defense is on the coach. Evereo also seemed all in for DJ Johnson too which makes me cringe that we traded up for that older/project who is another practice squad cut in the near future. Sorry I like to pick at old wounds.

And if they concede 38 or more points in the season finale at Atlanta, the 2024 Panthers will set a dubious new NFL record for most points allowed in a single season (the Baltimore Colts gave up 533 in 1981, albeit in 16 games rather than the modern-day 17).

Just how bad do they need to be before Evero is shown the door

i guess the franchise is bad enough now to set an all time record for the worst defense in the NfL

Luvu left because he wanted to play for Dan Quinn and Burns was traded because we weren't(rightfully so) going to pay him $30 mil/yr.

Other teams have injuries but they are rarely trotting out 2nd and 3rd string players as starters that are then having to be replaced with PS players.

We set up Evero to fail and he did so. Now, that said, I think Evero has a ceiling and I am not sure it's that high.

I am all for paying someone like Saleh an absurd amount of money, I am a lot less sure that someone like that is interested.

The Panthers  gave  him a shot from the Jets. But rather than take the same offer  from the  panthers, He left for Quinn vs Evero and Morgan

there is no doubt injuries hurt  

there is no doubt these are not all pros

there  is also no doubt these are  pro players.   

they practice all the time.

For some  the Panthers are  not their first teams.  

They should know where to line up and for god’s sake have the ‘want to’ to tackle

It is egregious and it is not acceptable 

people need to stop with excuses for this coaching staff    That defensive sustem has been in place  for 2 years and Canales needs to be more than an average glorified play caller and start being the a HC not an ‘aw shucks’ mouthpiece
