Oh, that mistake made by the Browns just got even worse.

And let's not forget this could've easily been us. Tepper wanted him. People on this board wanted him. At least the choices we eventually made is bearing some fruit.

They are so fuged. They have to just try to reach an injury settlement with him and move on.

I can't ever recall a QB falling off such a cliff in his prime without a serious injury being involved. Obviously he's dealing with serious injuries now, but he fell completely off the cliff when he was still healthy.

Football is a game that requires peak physical and mental condition (mental in terms of football, obviously not sanity lol) and being away from the game so long clearly impacted him.

fug him, though. Glad Tepper didn't get his way, christ. The best decision Tepper's made was not being willing to guarantee that salary.

Deshaun Watson most likely will only be in Canton as a day-pass guest or as an event attendee, but he did successfully pull off one of the flea flicker plays of all time, at least when it came to contracts. He simultaneously soaked Houston and then managed to get traded to the Browns for a massive haul not just for the Texans but for his own bank account, netting both one of the largest trade values of all time AND one of the most overpaid, fully guaranteed contracts of all times.

I'd say he gave it all up for a few after massage tugs, but let's be honest, he hasn't had to give up anything except some on the field time. And considering how he has played, that was probably in his interest, too.

Like I said back then when folks were praying we would land him, sometimes the biggest blessings are the ones you don't get.

This is that dipsh-t everybody makes fun of on McAfee's show, right?

The story of Glenn declining the Patriots interview seems to be legit but I'm not so sure I'd count on this guy's speculation.

To me it more means Glenn knows he's getting a different job already, like New Orleans.

I can't tell if this means the Browns are going to draft a QB #2 now, or if they're going to use this as a chance to just blow it all up and trade the pick to the Giants or Raiders.

Can see both sides of it, this is their chance to get a new QB, or they realize they're going to be in cap hell for a couple years because of the dead hits from Watson and just go full on re-build mode for a year or two and hope for the #1 pick next year in a better QB draft.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
