Fields was terrible and remains terrible. I will never understand how people can't see something so unbelievably obvious. He has improved so little since his rookie season.

Fields has this cult like following.  He has always been terrible but produces a few flashy plays. The steelers need to just move on from fields and wilson Tomlin getting them to the playoffs this year was impressive.

Houston could beat KC. Those two edge rushers could do to Mahomes what Miller and Ware did to Cam in SB50

This game will come down to which CJ Stroud shows up. He’ll need to take care of the ball and be a lot better than what he was yesterday

Both these AFC games should be really good next weekend

Move on to what, though? That's been the problem with Pittsburgh since Ben retired.

It's not about any "cult". It's about Wilson sucking and being old and Fields being younger and more athletic with a lot more potential upside. They were 4-2 with Fields starting. They were 6-5 with Russell Wilson starting.

If Darnold continues his "seeing ghosts" from the last game against the Rams, I think Minnesota is really gonna have a difficult choice on their hands. It's hard to hand over a big contract to a guy who may not be a starting caliber NFL QB. Especially when you invested top 15 draft capital in the position. It's gonna be an interesting offseason for them.

A lot depends on what they feel about JJ McCarthy. Seems like there's chatter about him being traded as well. But if they feel good about him, then tag and trade Darnold to another QB needy team.

    • Some national praise for Stankonia this fine morning... NHL playoff breakouts: 6 players opening eyes with their postseason performance Stankoven had an absolutely dominant Game 1 against Ottawa. At five-on-five, the team went up 19-5 in shot attempts, 2-0 in scoring, and earned a 93 percent xG rate in his minutes. Stankoven’s seven shot attempts and overall efforts helped contribute to 2.17 of the Canes’ 3.16 expected goals at five-on-five. ... After earning two primary points on the Canes’ goals on Saturday, he saved a goal in Game 2 that almost slipped over the line (and likely would have changed the tone of the game early), and added another of his own. 15 early takes from Round 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs 5. Stankoven’s a dawg The Hurricanes have a lot of dawgs — Martinook is one too — but Logan Stankoven deserves the title in his own way. Three goals through two games, not afraid of the moment, and his line with Taylor Hall and Jackson Blake is relentless. They’ve got an expected goal rate around 75 per cent at 5-on-5 so far. ***Bonus Round*** 4. Tkachuk has to settle into the moment Last Ottawa thought is that they’ve got lots of guys going. Tim Stutzle is all over it, Drake Batherson, Ridly Greig, these guys should’ve scored more than they have, but it’s like there’s a forcefield at the net. However, Brady Tkachuk hasn’t been on the ice for a goal for yet, and to me, it’s because he’s just so damn over-eager. He looks like he’s in a fist-fight with the puck out there and it’s blowing up on his stick way too often. He needs the opposite of smelling salts pre-game. He needs a chai tea and a fiction novel in the dressing room. He’s one of the rare guys you’d like to see calm down, rather than rev up.
