Didn’t see this coming. Looks like the Panthers are methodically purging the staff to bring in new blood. Jonathan Cooley wasn’t  selected for the Jags’ DC position, and this move + potential hiring of Renaldo Hill shows we’re shaking things up on the defensive staff.

According to Mike Garafolo, the 49ers are scheduled to interview former Panthers assistant DBs coach DeAngelo Hall for their defensive backs coach job next week. Carolina parted ways with Hall earlier today, which Garafolo reports was a “mutual decision” by the two parties. Hall was part of Frank Reich‘s original staff back in 2023.
