I’m ready for the “fun”to start

I have a feeling the big move was Jaycee Horn. Also they want peoples engagement and I have been at this long enough that when a person on twitter say “Panthers are gonna do this or that” I know it will likely not be this or that but they want you to remain engaged.

Jaycee is averaging 22.5 million per year (with the 5th year factored into the 4 year extension) and Godwin is 29 coming off a big injury making 22 million per season

Don't think you can compare the two contracts... different positions with different markets for each position

He reportedly left $22M on the table from another team which would have paid him $88M.

and then the Bucs only guaranteed 2 years--What a cheap shot move by the GM.  It should have been all guaranteed for that large of a hometown discount.

Horn was a big move, but we are gonna make a few statements today and this week

But they really did not make a big deal about it.  AND resigning your own player who was in negotiations recently is not that big news story to me---

Some of these draft experts say stuff like that on Twitter for each market to get people to use them for their sources of info; that could be it, but I doubt that because it costs you credibility.  I think we are going to sign a DT and maybe a S today

One negates the other. If Horn is on him Godwin will have to work hard to earn his money against us.

Those are my thoughts too.

    • I can always count on yout to put things so delicately lol. I'm still not sold on the fact that Tepper will make them keep him if they don't see him as a long term answer.
    • holy poo... this thread inspired me to keep trying to guess passwords to various alts I've created over the years and I finally got in! I pretty much accepted my fate as a lurker for the last several months because I could not remember my password. I didn't realize that new users couldn't join either, that explains things. I have been around for years under several different monikers, through the good and bad. I too always find myself coming back here even with all of the new social media options for Panther fan engagement. It's simply nostalgic.   I do get extremely annoyed with the same 5-10 posters shitting on Bryce and complaining about everything. It's unfortunate that half of them are mods and that nobody new can join because now I pretty much just come on here and see Bryce / Panther slander. There is barely any positivity to be had. We all watch this team and hang on this forum for entertainment purposes only. We have no control or say in anything. I used to be such a crazy ass fan that would argue with strangers about Cam newton on the internet and at games. Now, as a father of 3, a business owner and someone with way gnarlier life problems - I like to watch football and talk about football as an escape. Not to bitch more. I really like the direction of the team and will root anyone in a Panthers jersey. I live down the street from the Rams practice facility, Matthew Stafford is currently coaching his daughters flag football team in the same program I coach my sons. I have two highly ranked Rams staff members sons on my team. The way we beat them and had them on the ropes in the playoffs has me feeling amazing, and you would think we have the next great thing in Bryce with the way they all speak of him. I'm gonna ride that high and be a delusional fan, I hope that huddle can stick around or get fixed and perhaps I will get back to posting more now that I can log in again. I will do my best to not get banned. Keep Pounding!
    • Well, if they know Tepper wants to keep Bryce there is an an implied safety net there in case he fails. A possibility that he will be empathetic and •maybe• not fire them.  If they go against that and bring in someone else and that fails they are in a much worse spot.  IMO.  And another factor may be that after all those years of instability and musical chairs pre Bryce there will likely be a feeling of security in knowing what they have.   Kind of like settling just to keep from going through the process all over again.     IOW I think he really needs to fug up bad to lose his job and change our course.
