I see Aaron Rodgers is on his publicity tour again.  There is no reason for making the Giants wait.  The Giants pick at #3.  I would sign save the money and the drama and take Sanders and sign Flacco for a year.  I realize that careers are on the line in the front office in NY--so does Rodgers.  But he is done--I think he loves seeing everyone talking about him.   Get Sanders, build the ol and when he is ready, move him into the job.  Steelers?  You'd then be left with Wilson...again.

Good chance the Giants aren't high on Sanders. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of NFL talent evaluators aren't nearly as high on Shedeur as the media hype beasts. If his name was Shedeur Johnson instead of Shedeur Sanders I'm not sure he'd be a 1st rounder.

1000% spot on.  Shedeur also has a somewhat of a big ego so it could be challenging working with him.

Somewhat? LOL

To be fair, I think any QB worth drafting has somewhat of a big ego but you have to find a way to walk the tightrope between confident and cocky.  Confidence is good. Cocky will get you exposed.

Aaron Rodgers update

We're in the middle of the seventh day of NFL free agency, and still no official word on what Aaron Rodgers is going to do. All accounts state that the Steelers and Giants have submitted offers to Rodgers with retirement also being an option. The big question is the Vikings and whether or not they have interest in the four-time league MVP. There's been conflicting reports regarding the Vikings' interest in Rodgers.

There are also conflicting reports regarding Rodgers and the Vikings; some feel that Rodgers is waiting to see if the Vikings will reach out before he makes a final decision. If that is true, it appears that the Vikings is Rodgers' preferred choice.

Some Vikings employees feel chance of signing QB Aaron Rodgers is "50/50" per report

Mike Silver, a national columnist for The Athletic who is a fellow Cal alum like Rodgers, believes it's "literally 50/50" on whether or not the Minnesota Vikings will sign former four-time NFL MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers, a longtime NFC North rival with the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers' decision will likely come once Minnesota decides if they want him or not.

"Schultz via NFL News] Bengals WRs Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins exclusively tell me they’ve agreed to contract extensions with the team. 4-years, $161M with $112M guaranteed for Chase — making him the highest-paid non-QB in NFL history. 4-years, $115M with the first two years guaranteed for Tee."

That's crazy

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
