Tuesday Roster Moves: Davis to PUP, Wright and Taylor to IR

Agreed. But the DJ haters are out in full-force. They cheer for the underdog (in this case, Guy or Gettis) during the preseason.

I think it’s because they see better potential with Guy and Gettis than they do with Jarrett...Not sure anyone hates on Jarrett...most people realize that he has had ample opportunity and failed to capitalize on it...time for someone else to have a turn.

Fox has even said that most players reach their full potential in year three...if what Jarrett showed us last year, or any year before that, is his full potential then I pass!

To give him credit though, his 5.8 yards per catch is amazing thus far in preseason!

Jarrett has good hands. He is such a dumbass, these hands are often attached to an idiot running the wrong route, or a moron who does not know where the first down marker is located. Moore, like Delhomme, has no confidence in him. The coaches try to build him up in the media, but he lets them down during games.

Gettis is higher on the board than you might think. I expect him to play regularly. He is probably going to get a look at Wright's special teams spots. Smith, Moore, Jarrett, LaFell, and Edwards don't seem to have special teams jobs right now. Gettis should play more than Edwards early on, Jarrett later on. The Panthers will cut Moore and Jarrett before cutting Gettis.

Smith

LaFell

Edwards

Gettis

Jarrett

Moore IN ORDER

Made more plays than Jarrett?

I get your point but that's a bit far fetched.

Maybe, but Taylor wasn't a 2nd round pick and was never even expected to make the team in the first place, much less make a contribution on defense, which he did when he got the chance, so it's a wash for Jarrett, at best.

Hell, at this point, I would rather keep Moore than Jarrett. Call me a hater, if you want, but I spent two years defending Jarrett and he has done nothing but let me down. I'm willing to give anybody a chance, but if they don't take it, that's their own damn fault. Jarrett has had chance after chance after chance. Enough already.

What has Moore done that Jarrett has not? Disappear is what they do best.

We just need to get rid of Jarrett already. We don't need to watch another USC receiver bomb his career out again here. Its been three years for pete's sake, he can't learn the playbook, he forgets routes, he can't even rise against 3 rookie receivers...get him off our team.

Smitty (of course) & LaFell are the only for sures right now. As expressed since we've drafted him, Gettis has all the tools to be a stud receiver, but its hard to read into our coaching staff and how they view him. He has to stay imo, but I'm not convincing myself it will be so. I just don't want to be let down and see his potential and skill simply walk out the door and get on another team. Between Edwards & Guy, one will be on the PS and the other on the roster. Moore is a mystery to me so I'll leave him as bleh. That leaves Jarrett out the door, & room to sign a guy, which we need to do or else they are putting wayyy too much pressure on the rookie receivers.

Because Moore has made some plays this preseason and, believe it or not, he had 6 catches for 90something yards last year. At the very least, you can trust him to line up properly and run the right route. He's also a pretty good blocker.

Edwards is a lock for the team. So is Gettis if you ask me. They would not have used him on the 1st team as much if not.
