I would be willing to be that the "caller" didn't know that Jon Beason and Ryan Kalil were going to turn out to be solid picks when they were drafted. How many Panther fans can be honest and say they were doing backflips when those guys were chosen and say that they were can't miss picks?

It's not just Hurney making these picks, I see Fox standing behind him "smacking" on his chewing gum, salivating over guys like E. Brown. Plus he has to draft players to fit the system, like WR's that can block but can't catch, OL that can run block only, small defensive players who are quick but can't tackle and CB's that play 10 yds off the line and can't catch.

But give the guy some credit, he has drafted pretty well. It's the lack of FA signings that has killed us and that has a lot to do with JR. The "window" to win was last year, now it's rebuilding time. IMO, the right coach could turn this around quick.
