How can anyone justify Moore over Clausen at this point?

First of all Clausen had more than 8 passing yards in the first half. For those of you uneducated observers, that is TEAM passing yards, which adds sack yardage into the equation, he actually had about 25-30, no less than Moore or Jake on average. Given the # of run plays early on, that should be no surprise.

Someone said he was too short...he's 3 inches taller than Brees.

I'll defend him on the sack-fumbles because if the line doesn't break down in one second those don't happen. The fumbled handoff, that's his fault.

The passing yardage? Could have added 30 yards if LaFell would've caught a pass and not have missed it and been called for interference.

Clausen is the right QB to be playing...give him something to work with, anything. A RB who on 1st down can get more than -2, 1 and 0 yards on consecutive 1st downs, an OL to block so he doesn't have to roll out, and receivers who can catch and keep their feet in bounds. Coaches who act like they care would also help.

Sorry but every time Clausen plays he is regressing more and more. He needs to sit some more and learn. Moore can actually get the team to the redzone which Clausen fails to do. Right now Moore is the better choice. Clausen and Moore might not even start next year or be on the team. You need to play the guy that helps the Wide receivers improve.

The team had 8 passing yards. Clausen passed for 15 yards, fumbled the ball twice and had an INT in the first half.

Clausen is a risk or just unproductive.

Moore is risk/reward.

Clausen...52.2 rating

Moore...33.3 rating

That is all.

pointless stats for comparison.

Moore came in a made some good throws staying in the pocket. Can't really fault him for either pick given how they occured. The backup QB is suppose to take that last shot and hope his WR makes a play...throwing the ball away is worse on that last play.

How do you justify interceptions as better than incompletions? Moore stands in the pocket and makes good throws to DB's and LB's. Sure he can get us to the red zone but he's a pick machine. 6 picks this year.

    • Nothing new, Run the ball and stop the run has always been the key in the NFL. So many on here don't want a game manager.  They want Dan Marino or Dan Fouts to be throwing the ball.  (neither of them won a SB)
    • Why do you intentionally twist things that people say? Please show me in my post where I said that the media has NEVER hyped up Bryce Young. The person I was responding to said that the media has created a mythos around Bryce Young.  And I asked if he can show me anything recently where the media has spoken about Bryce Young as if they are building a mythos around him.  And no, I don't consider articles from before he was drafted to mean jack ish - people are wrong, including you, including myself, about prospects every year. Since the season has started, can you give me one media outlet that has deemed Bryce Young to be a franchise QB / long-term answer at the position?  Don't bother responding with anything else.
    • But neither is 100 per game.  Sunday's game was very windy.  Both Young and Love felt it.   I'm no NFL QB but I can throw a football quite well.  Throwing in a strong wind is very difficult.  The shorter the throws the better chance you have of maintaining the zip on the ball.   The longer the ball is in the air the velocity decrease quite quickly.  Young's throw that was intercepted was the exact route XL scored on in Miami, but it was easily picked off due to the strong wind.   Love should have had two picks against him and both of them died in the wind.  So, while throw bombs is cool you have to take the conditions into account.
