Dwill out of practice today+ Jstew blowout day?

I'm not expecting much. Back when the O-line played well it was exciting because we knew whichever RB played would pretty much be guaranteed to break 100 yards with a few TDs.

Stewart hasn't made many plays behind the line so I'm not expecting it to change even with a better passing game. I'd love to be wrong though.

Who would have thought the passing game would have been so effective in the last game? It would be far less shocking if our running game got back on track. I really hope it does.

Exactly, I really think that Jstew will change though finally getting the bulk of the carries. Hopefully the Oline will show up to play as well.

There is 0% reason to think we'll suddenly "get it going". We've sucked all year, the Rams aren't horrible against the run, they'll still stack the box until Moore forces them not to, our O-Line has blocked horribly this season which in turn has made J-Stew look terrible, and Fiametta looks like an amateur out there. Just because he's J-Stew and just because they're the Rams doesn't mean a thing. I'd LOVE to be wrong but I sure as hell ain't starting Stewie on my fantasy team.

If anything, we'll pass it around again.

I'll give you 308 reasons why which also makes our run less relevant.

why not? Williams is off to a similar start as his 2008 season from a yardage standpoint. Ever since Double Trouble came together.....they have suddenly "got it" about this time of year.

    • height being an issue doesn't just mean batted balls.  You could argue Bryce minimizes batted balls by adopting other poor habits such as his jump passing and leaving the pocket.   As I said, there are plays you can point to where he clearly was blind to parts of the field/players....which kills plays and opportunity. Which actually means some of the shorter/hot throws when things break down are where his vision gets blocked (and he had below average production all around the line of scrimmage).   has he figured it out? I mean, he improved off a trainwreck start.  But Bryce Young since arriving in the league (even while figuring it out)......doesn't generate much offensive production vs his peers.  I just think his ceiling is low.   And that's not in the grand scheme what you want in the NFL.  I think he can develop into a serviceable QB, that will largely always been a middle of the pack or low end starter.
    • People make a lot of noise about his footwork and I think it is overblown. Whether he takes 3 steps backwards or 5 small steps doesn't matter as long as he ends up at the right depth and is in sync with  the receiver regarding timing. If he does that consistently who cares as long as he has a firm stable base as he delivers the ball. Which he does need to work on. However even that is somewhat overblown given that often QBs have to throw off balance or from different arm angles to fit the ball around defenders. He is considered very accurate so apparently it isn't hurting him that much.
    • Thank you for all the release metaphors!  It's helped make my morning 😃 But no...just eww..
