Only getting 1 yr contracts and being told they were welcome to look for other jobs was not much job security. sounds like the team wanted them to go but did not want to fire them Trgo , et all prolly think they get better offers leaving on their own.

Wonder if Foxy is looking too?

My only concern there is that if they did not really want them to stay, then why offer a contract in the first place? All these coaches were already out of contract, so if we didn't want them we did not have to do anything...

It is clear we showed them no reason to stay, but surely we should of been actively searching for new coaches if we actively wnated them all out...

A real head scratcher to be honest

I think this might be a compromise between Jerry and Mark. Jerry didn't want to clean house and Mark did. To compromise the team only offered the coaches 1 year deals and allowed them to interview for other jobs.

This is only speculation on my part but I think with Jerry being ill that Mark has started taking over the organization even more now and he has a different mentality than his father. Again, just speculation on my part.

If the whole truth to this situation was ever aired, I've got a feeling this would be the leading cause.

It's really easy to think something bad is going on but it is probably just business.

In order to clean house without firing anybody there could have been something written into their contracts that they couldn't live with. When Turdo said he planned on being back it might have been before he read his contract.

What exactly does a "Defensive quality control coach" do? He inspect tackles to make sure they meet specs? Check to see if pass coverage is tight enough? Evaluate pass rush to see if it is effective? I do not understand QC on a football team. No team that I played on had QC people, if you were not meeting expectations the coaches damn sure let you know about it without having to have an QC involved.

Noting the guy's relation to Sam Mills, I would venture it's more of an honorary move than anything.
