If you needed another reason to love Andrew Luck

Luck with a 50 yard bomb, great catch by the WR.

Harbaugh runs a 3-4 on defense. Wonder if he would change things up his first year or start off with a 4-3 / 3-4 Hybrid defense kinda like Arizona did.

His DC is Vic Fangio, the guy who was the first Panthers DC under Dom Capers.

Harbaugh only started running the 3-4 this season, though. Prior to that his defenses were 4-3. I wouldn't assume he's tied to that alignment.

Luck reminds me of Michael Phelps..

In the face, yeah.

As a quarterback, I'd say Jim Kelly.

Is a forearm shiver legal in the NFL?

How much grief do you think those defensive guys are getting from their buddies?

i don't think it's legal. at the very least it's on it's way out and on peter king's list of most vile things humanity does.

those defensive guys, though....it's one thing to get knocked over by cam newton, but andrew luck? maybe it isn't too bad because he is a hoss. still...it's a QB. thats got to be bad. it's not as bad as getting knocked out by the punter, but it's bad.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
