Gettis and LaFell

They are solid. Compared to the other rookie WRs, they are doing very well on the 32nd ranked passing offense in the league. I think we should not ignore the fact that Smith is aging. He would be a great slot WR. There is a place to upgrade the WR corps if the opportunity presents itself. However, in the draft, I see 1 (Green) maybe 2 (Jones) players who are good enough to be #1 WRs.

I still think Edwards could make a decent 4th or slot WR. He needs time, but I still hate the pick.

I think Gettis with his size and speed, once he gets some more Polish as a NFL WR he could be a solid-really good #1 or an excellent #2

While Lafell I think has what it takes to make it as a #2 he needs more time and I think his ability cap will probably end up being a solid #3.

Love em both. LaFell has had some amazing catches this season in very tight spaces. i know he has missed some also but still.

I believe next season, we'll have what many consider "one of the best trio of WRs in the league".

I like them both and hope they can turn into the real deal. But you remember Moose dropped alot of passes when he first came into the league, that was until I told him there was some gooood green from Maui hidden inside the ball....

i like gettis as the future deep threat as the team. he's a tall, big target, he's got incredible speed... the kind of guy that could force double teams and keep a safety playing back (and opening up the running game, which i hear we might be good at.)

lafell reminds me of moose... he's no burner, but he's showing good route-running ability early on and his downfield run blocking is very solid. he's proving to be a decent third-down possession type receiver and i think he could easily take the number two spot.

...which leaves, of course, 89, who could - at long last - play out of the slot and ruin the careers of nickelbacks to his heart's content.

hmm that would be great, even if we trade steve down the road i think Armanti is going to be a monster in the slot once he gets in NFL form

if they work well with luck, awesome. if not...alshon jeffery will be out the following year. he's better than green.

we need them to step up, Smitty shouldn't be viewed as our #1.. if we have 3 very capable WRs, that will diminish the need for a true #1 until someone steps up into that role (or we bring one in)...

Guys, with two rookies in the top three on the depth chart it is no surprise that they have produced. I hate to say it but Jarrett would have caught some balls and racked up some yards as well if he played as often as these guys have.

The simple fact is they probably wouldn't have played as much on teams with better depth. So beware the Colbert scenario, young guys coming in when there is no one else do not always progress from there.

That said, if they produced these on any other team it would be considered a decent rookie campaign. If they can actually progress, then we have two genuine players on our team.

LaFell has been very clutch. Gettis has been more consistent. Gettis is a burner and Lafell has actually impressed me with his run after the catch skills. I really do think we might have something in these two young receivers we just drafted.
