Looks like they're high on Shemar Stewart and Mykel Williams as well, though I can see them getting the nod over Ez + JPJ because the former have clear bull rushes and whether or not the latter can convert speed-to-power vs. grown men playing OT in the NFL we'll just have to wait and see. Glad to see JT round out the top 8. Surprised that they've got Swinson and Powell-Ryland as low as they do.

As a VT fan, powell-ryland isn't a guy I'd put very high on an NFL list. I'm nervous the development path is minimal and he's maxed out physically. I don't see a 3 down guy there. 

Savion jones is the untapped potential guy. He's worth a look as that's rare size speed and length. I get it, the production isn't there. But he'd be a solid guy that late (4th) that sticks for all downs in multiple systems.

Diggs is a guy that might stick 3 downs in a 3-4 as an OLB. He's built longer than APR so I get why APR is so low on this list. He's like APR that he's older for the class and worry the potential jump is smaller than some of the others.

Diggs a good player. If we miss out on getting the earlier guys, I like him a little later.

Linebacker rankings. Schwesinger’s continued rise the past few months was inevitable. Won’t make it out of the 30s. Stutsman a good consolation prize for those that miss on him. Knight Jr. could be a really good 3-4 plugger so maybe that’s a fit for us, not as instinctive.

Late rounds I’d take a flier on Nick Martin or Cody Simon. Still think we need a piece there.

Howard was a bust (and I think out of the league) and Pitts has been a massive disappointment so far.

Greg Olsen was a 1st rounder who showed some flashes, but he didn't really flourish until he came here.

Many TEs have their best seasons several seasons in... just far too many unknowns for a team that still has so many major needs.

All quite different players. Olsen had some work to do and always lacked some explosion as a player. Pitts played off the line a ton in college. Was really a jumbo slot receiver (Cough TMac Cough.) Warren’s comp coming out should be Shockey who was a solid 4 time ProBowler, but no GOAT. It’s not often you get one that belongs top half R1, but Warren is one. I’d still draft another direction I suppose.

Olsen was drafted with pick 31. Why are we comparing the epitome of a quality TE without burst to the bust of Pitts (terrible hands for a receiving TE) and Howard (just an all around bust)?

Olsen was a great 2nd round TE taken 2 picks early. That's what Warren looks like...well he looks slower than Olsen by a bit to me. In no reality is that worth a top 10 pick IMO.

It's going to be fun watching the team that drafts him realize his speed and size won't look the same in the NFL.  Maybe we can trade for him like we did with Olsen in year 3 or 4 of his rookie deal.

He may be the greatest TE to ever play when its said and done but fans should storm mint street if he is drafted by us.  But spoiler alert he isnt going to be.

      Like many of the old heads, I’ve been here for a long time.  I got a lot of respect for everyone on this board for your dedication to this team.  We’ve all been through it during the tougher years. At this point in life, I’m not one to judge anyone’s level of dedication, or their reasons why anymore.  Time, and a lot of bad football, will do that.  For me, it’s simple.  We share a common bond.  For that, I love and appreciate all of you crazy SOB’s. For me, last season was at a minimum, entertaining.  BY lead a young team to multiple come from behind 4th qtr wins.  That showed me heart, and that he has the clutch gene.  That’s the wildcard intangible.  For me, that was fun to watch even  if it was mindbogglingly frustrating at times.  Over the past two seasons, we have progressively built a better team around him.  On paper, the defense should be better this season.  That’ll help.  Let’s see what he can do as the other guys continue to develop too.  Besides, his contract is cheap for a few more years, and we just made some smart cap decisions during the draft. Let’s see how it shakes out.

      I would very much liked to have seen Jake Delhomme's career if Tommy Jone no hurt Jake.  I just know that roster and the leadership were destined to hit paydirt but Jake was never the same after the elbow injury, and unfortunately he was the sole reason they didn't make it back to the big one.  I think that 08 team was the best in the league, and Jake masked his inability well all season til the Arizona game put it all on display.  I'll go back to the season prior even and say the 07 team was primed to be a competitor.  Jake was off to a fantastic start that year (for a Panthers QB).  They may have been a championship caliber club for a few seasons after 08 too.
