Contracts and paying players are where the rubber meets the road in the NFL when it comes to ownership and management philosophies.

Case #1: Peyton Manning is about to become the highest paid player in the history of the NFL as he and the Colts are talking right now. CBA be damned, the Colts are wanting to make this happen regardless of what the new salary cap may look like.

Case #2: Jerry Richardson refuses to negotiate, sign or otherwise deal with his team until a new CBA is in place. He is more than willing to watch one UFA after another decide they'll play elsewhere rather than pay the man for what he can bring to the table.

Good point, the Colts are thinking about the players, the CBA be damned!

If he wants a reasonible contract why not sign him.WE are in a league that requires 2 or 3 rbs.I may be wrong but I see teams leaning torwards multiple rbs versus one super star.Defenses have learned how to slow down the running game if they want to.The stock of rbs in general is declining in my opinion. As Riveria noted if they give you the pass you have to be able to pass and the same is true for running the ball.Fox ball is a dying stadegy.

Haha pure comedy that was. Thanks for that.

I'm sure the Front Office will consider he and Charles Johnson Priority 1 when a new CBA is agreed upon.

With that, will they still consider us priority #1 after a real disrespectful showing by the owner.

If I'm DWill, I'm on the first plane to GB because I know I have a chance at a title for the next coming years and my hometown team lost their chance.

On this train...sign him. A more aggressive offense (that actually tries to get the ball to our playmaker @ WR.) Then the re-emergence of double trouble, with an emphasis on using the TE in the passing attack...now if only we can progress at QB.

I hope we get Skipper and Williams resigned. We have enough cap room to keep him and he might be 28 but he doesn't have as much wear and tear as most starting Rbs his age thanks to Fox not starting him his first few seasons and Stewart sharing the load. Pay Williams and bring back Skipper.

We need to keep Double Trouble.
