Jake Delhomme to be released...again.

Under the no cap rule this year, didn't cutting Jake purge the entire balance of his contract? Wasn't that the 'appeal' of cutting big money players this season? It was something to that effect.

Think his signing bonus still carries over.

All of these ideas depend on if he still thinks he can play and his agent finding him a deal, even then he could still pursue other options such as other leagues. Depends on what he wants to do, although I agree on bringing him in if nothing else but to retire a Panther because in my book, He's still the man!

You're too young to remember Beuerlein (or won't even born yet). He beats Delhomme in completion percentage, touchdown percentage, interception percentage, and quarterback rating.

Man after that video makes me miss Jake being here at Carolina. He gave it his all thats all you could ask of someone. He made the most of being a starter and I gotta thank him for brining us to our first super bowl.

I know Steve was good but did'nt quite have the accoplishment's to be called the best. Good percentage sure, 2 NFC south title's, 2003 NFC champ's, SuperbowlXXXVIII, 2005 NFC champ game. I like that stat line better than Beuerline's good percentage, but Steve was OK.

Beuerlein had one average year, a great year, and one average year, with two poo years before that with the Panthers. Regardless of how much his average numbers are better than Delhomme's (and it's not by a lot) I don't think you can say that he was a better Panther quarterback than Delhomme.

The only "average" year he had was 2000. You realize he was a backup in 96 and 97 right? And in those 2 years he had 14 TDs and 5 INTs.

As to being the best QB we've ever had, he sure is based on wins. The two guys ran such different offenses it is really tough to compare stats.
