I think that's the dream.

EZ is the issue he's going to cost big to move up for.

I don't think so. He could be within striking range in the late 40's. Remember all these players have warts and require scheme fits on day 2. Happy Roller Coaster GIF by Zypto

I don't know which teams run 3-4 and 4-3, Panthers FO does. I believe it would be a surprise to see him last until 42.

If he's there in the late 40s, one/two of the 5ths could do it. Panthers moved from 52 to 46 for 2 5ths last year for brooks.

Im already nervey about edge....... I do like gillotte in the mid rounds.

2026 only newly signed Jones is here..... no good edges hit the FA market..

You Ok with trading next years 2nd and this years 3rd to move up 20 spots?

I sure as hell don't.

This isn't the best draft, next years is QB heaven and I feel 3x the value of this draft.

Brandt and Dan just need to extend DJ and have some patience.

If they trade up watch the names still at 57, should be heavy defense.

It won't take that, probably next years 2nd and 163 or something

They are not going to fix everything this year. Gotta start looking at who's coming out next year my friend. Just get the best players on the team at any position and go from there.

I really thought Andrews was going to get cut due to cap reasons but doesn’t seem like that

I think they waiting to see how they draft Goes. Watch to see if they draft another tight end. They love Likely... so if they do draft one, Andrew's may be a post or present draft casualty

    • Kalkbrenner and Sion James received regular contracts and not two ways, so the Hornets have some work to do to cut the roster size down.
    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
