We as an organization tend to air on the side of church league as you put it.

Many other teams and analyst apparently disagree with you here.

Teams want to win.  If they thought the good outweighed the bad, they would obviously take the chance.  They are clearly saying they want no part of that.  Why do you think that is?

Yep.  The nfl ie retired fbi guys investigated this dude and was like nope we good

So are we going to be in 4-3 or 3-4 more often next year? That weight fluctuation is wild.

He played at Purdue at 257, then went to TAM and played at 285, he's back down to his normal weight at 257.

It's kinda cool he can put on and take off weight like that.  Watch that Panthers get him to 265

You watching the draft in your Rae Carruth jersey?  Lol

A bunch of teams have really strict behavior guidelines and rules for players.

The type of stuff where if players break the rules of the team it can void their contract completely.

Not gonna get that pick back, though.

Those teams won't typically touch those type of players. The ones that don't have them in place are the ones that will usually take a shot later on in the draft than the player should've been taken.

We put ourselves in position to get the best of the rest of the edge talent available in the second round and we chose him above every other option without having him in for a top-30 visit. I think that should speak volumes about what we think of him.

    • I did not want to start or even think about *if* BY reverts back to pre-non last 9 games.   There is a lane in which Panthers are looking QB after this season, I feel its higher than most will realize. I mean....not kidding... has any team ever traded up to 1st overall twice in the teams history? I don't even want to think within 3 years, just foresee Tepper squeezing Dans and Brandts sacs to the point were they are forced to trade up for a another savior.....   The kicker is I feel this way with BY playing good-great..... I think there with be non-fixable problems for contract negotiations between BY&reps vs Panthers org on the whole. You can not pay 50+ million per over few years with 70% guarantees for 3,303 yards 15 TDs and 9 INTs......Cursed I tell you....
    • It's not surprising, but it's still surprising that many of these guys don't manage their money in such a way that provides them and their families a better lifestyle than most for the rest of their lives without even working a nine-to-five. I can't imagine making over a 100 mil for a decade and ultimately ruminating about supporting my family due to financial issues.
    • That why i mentioned the KC dynasty. Those three different playoff loses were not Allens fault, in fact 1-2 plays and Bills win. KC just have better players and better coaches and more luck.  Defense-wise, Bills have been trying to crack the Reid-Halhomes magic. Its near impossible with rules and KC home field advantage. Spags has started to force the league in naming him the best DC in NFL history. I agree if you take away Bill bielacheat.... Add in Andy Reid the best QB coach and brilliant play designer/play-caller, I mean that's too much for one QB to over-come on his own.  Just trolling or not, bad is bad scot. Allen is legit as any one QB has ever been.
