If you could add one player from any team in the NFL to the 2025 Panthers to make them Super Bowl contenders, who would it be?

On the offensive side i can only legit say a proven top 3 TE would be the most effective single player... on defense it gets much harder.. like yeah Jessie Bates would fill a major hole but is he really gonna increase our win shares?

And if its any player do you just take Myles Garrett? The whole reason i thought of this was because of the Trey Henderickson saga and the only way it make sense after we got rid of Clowney was if we told ourselves he gets us to a deep playoff run... but would Stingley with Horn provide more win shares than letting our rookies on the d-line play in the hypothetical or could a Henderickson type player push us up more?

Just a thought experiment in the dog days of the offseason.

I thought about removing QB from the equation because of Bryce but damn yall went there already 😂😂

QB is really the only 1 position that would guarantee more wins

I was literally thinking just as I came across this post "This would be a much harder question and more entertaining thread if you couldn't say a QB." lol

The answer is Mahomes, Lamar, or Josh

Non-QB: I think I'd love Jamarr or JJ. Then I might even go Myles Garrett for this years team.

what about the retiree Aaron donald??

Just to keep up with my "what about this"

Garrett is 4-3 right, Parsons would a monster OLB end if heathly.....

TJ watt should get votes too, he's got numbers with anyone..

You know what's also funny....I literally thought about that too lmao
I'd take Aaron Donald for sure. But if I can play what if....

I may actually take a healthy CMC lol.

Because I'm indecisive, I'll put in my final bid for a top tier TE, idk about Kelce at this stage in his career though.

    • And even worse you have injuries force you to play anther one dimensional train wreck combine that with Orlov being no were close to as advertised and boom you have 3 defensemen being dressed who couldn't defend my 96 year old grandmother. That said next year having Slavin,Miller,Nikishin,Chatfield gives you the best shutdown d man in the league two large athletic HIGH offensive potential D who can take away time and space....   The more I think about it the more I like this seasons approach, if you bring back burns or aquire anther large RHS with length you have 5 D all over 6'2 and 210 with three of them having great offense too, make no mistake they want size and skill on the blue line now and its almost 100% directed at getting past FL.
    • Honestly the 2024 draft class(minus brooks). All are in line to be starters, expect crumedy who's fighting for a 53.  Still that class was looking terrible, is now looking like 4 starters and maybe 1 depth. Anytime you draft 2 starters and a key depth piece its a good draft. 4 starters are rare and that's with brooks who could have made 5 starters if not for awful luck.  That draft also helped land starter Michael Jackson in a round about way, big bonus..
    • Officially heading to the Jags game week one!  Section 240, visitors side just outside the club section.
