Seems most fans are happy just being good and making the playoffs since I got lambasted on Twitter and Reddit for saying Rod has proven he can't win a cup as a coach. 19 downvotes and counting. Lmfao

Yup the casuals on Facebook ive gotten 85 laughing or angry emojis so far for pointing it out.

The amount of them throwing a fit because the canes were booed is insane

Yes it's quite crazy. I said the fans should've thrown those damn towels on the ice. I wouldn't want to keep that damn thing after the way the team played.

That's how real hockey towns treat their teams when they poo the bed. Look at any Canadian team for reference.

When a team has EXPECTATIONS you have to show them that your fandom and praise is EARNED.

People would be mad if the they lost two one goal competitive games like 2023 but they wouldn't have gotten booed out of the building because the effort and competitiveness would be there but to lose in THAT fashion at home with your entire top line going free lance and saying fug this yeahhh.

Man it’s not even about losing to the Panthers again, it’s how they are losing that makes me think a coaching change is needed. Florida is physical, got into the player’s heads, and it’s the coach’s job to get his players ready to play. Brindamour has failed miserably in the Conference Championship 3 times now. The Hurricanes look like they don’t even belong in the playoffs let alone in the conference championship game. If these games were close like in 2023 we’d be frustrated but not embarrassed and that’s the difference in a coach keeping or losing their job.

I wouldn't be mad if we were losing by 1 or 2 and the games were hard hitting tightly contested games. I'd be frustrated and upset about losing, but I wouldn't be mad.

Right now I'm pissed, Rod's decision making, his system of play, the consistent bad results in the conference finals. Then the team comes out at home and gets plastered 10-2 in the first two games... Yeah I'm mad at the results on the ice

And he's stubborn. Playing Morrow yet again despite him struggling mightily is just inexcusable.

I think Rod is just extremely loyal with some folks.  Not sure why.  I have seen the same across many sports.  It’s not working but they just keep doing it like it will work all of the sudden.  It never does.

Personally I’d give him one more chance with a loaded roster.

This year it felt like we were playing with a fringe first line, a third line, and two fourth lines. We definitely overachieved and I think the reason we are disappointed is because the end result is the same but we weren’t supposed to be here.

I’d give Rod one more go before moving on.

Yep.  Wheels fell off with Burns and Orlov too.  The team still managed to figure it out after the deadline and put together a good 2nd half.  We just got our hopes up like you do.

I don't think Rod is infallible or we should never fire him.  I just don't think this year is a very good reason.  I don't think anyone else behind the bench gets a better finish with this squad.

When will some of you realize it doesnt matter what the roster looks like. RBA has hit his ceiling. He is a terrible decision maker in the playoffs and the team always ends up looking moronic on their way out of the playoffs. We arent winning squat with him.

Honestly, never thought I would get here, but I'm with you.

Last year we had a really good roster. Are we supposed to be a team full of superstars? In which said superstars never fit his system? Its an oxymoron.

Listening to the post-game, and holy poo!

Has Rod ever said, "this one's on me."

When asked about composure, he threw Staal and Martinook under the bus. "Those 2 can't be your best players."

Disregarding that he didnt answer the question, does he realize how that sounds to professional athletes?

When asked how you prepare for game 4, "I'm not even thinking about that."

Clearly, Rod.

Is that throwing them under bus or rest of team? He is saying those two were our best players and that can’t be the case if we are going to win.

Anyway, haven’t managed to see a single minute of this series and seems like I’m lucky. Losing is one thing, losing in this way, by this margin is unacceptable. Heads have to roll. But they won’t

    • Those TDs passes you saw Sunday is what I think you will see bryce at his best. Those touch passes he can lob to receivers over the defenders heads. Long as receivers can get significant separation and bryce does overthrow those passes which we seem him do a lot. He is never gonna be a guy that can throw a laser into a receivers chest with a defender draped on him downfield unless its short pass or within a couple feet from the endzone.
    • If teams play us honestly and take that deep stuff away we may be able to operate good enough underneath to counter that. It is about time we started trying to force them to respect it.    But I think people should enjoy the win for two weeks because what’s in front of us doesn’t scream playoffs to me. It would be shocking if we swept TB. They aren’t Atlanta.  And even if we sweep there can be no let down.    I saw the stat of our record coming off a loss. Pretty good. What would it be coming off a win lol? Without looking, it has to at least be pretty upside down  (I count it to be 2-4).
    • Win the division from Bucs........BY implodes in the playoff worse than Delhomme and we finally get rid of BY as our QB. Get ready for 2026 with momentum for once.
