Current reality is Haynes is 5th in the ACC in overall quarterback ratings.  There's not a single category that produces those rankings where he's better than Carson Beck.

You know you can’t judge running QBs strictly via passing metrics.   He is averaging 130 rushing yards and 2 TD a game on the ground to go WITH his passing

I'm not talking about statistics. I'm not PFF. I'm talking about watching the games and saying "who's the best college QB here?" and it's Haynes.

Expected points through rushes is factored in.  I didn't discount his rush yards.

Now if you are arguing that he's the best dual threat QB in the ACC, I'll agree with that.

I don’t even know what stats you are referring to right now.  Lot of the stats now get dumb.  You mentioned QB rating.  Which is a pass only stat.

If I’m trying to win a college football game and I get to pick any ACC QB? Give me the GT kid all day.   Easy call IMO.

    • It's crazy with how much winning was going on when we had a little cool off period that we're still just a couple games out of 6th. Moussa is getting better every week and Coby is getting comfortable. Would be nice to get to 6 but I think this team is a lot more stacked than the last couple play ins. I can't remember the exact rules but if you're 7th seed and win the first game I think you automatically move on and don't have to play the second game?
    • I think it was a thing for sure. Panthers weren’t too many people’s first choice. Or 5th choice.  2022 and 2023… coaches fired mid season. Consecutive years. You want any of that?  He has definitely overseen a rehab of how the Panthers are perceived. Because we are a place that is seen as up and coming. And just the little thing of he accommodated Theilen so graciously, that gets noticed. It all adds up. Dan is doing a lot of things right, probably most things.  Needs a good draft.
    • K, I think that is dumb, but you do you. I didn't find anything online that made him out to be a dislikable person. I am certain the Panthers would have cared so much if they lost your fandom if they hired Sean Payton. But bet you would have come crawling back if Sean lead us to a Super Bowl victory or Golden leads UNC to a champion ship. It is easy to say you are gonna leave a team if the hire someone you dislike when the chips are down. But people like you tend to come crawling back once the team finds success.
