Possible the Browns are looking to trade Shadeur?

Was looking at Cleveland's cap space.  Next year they have a 135 million in cap space tied up in three players, Ward, Garret, and Watson.

They would have been much better off sticking with Mayfield and trying to put a great team around him.

As big of a mistake as the Bryce trade was for us if he doesn't pan out, the Watson trade would've been so much worse because you're not just dealing away a ton of draft capital but you're also taking a chainsaw to your cap flexibility. Now granted, no one expected him to fall off a cliff on the field then run into serious injury issues but that's the risk you take when you put that many eggs in one basket.

The main problem with Watson besides his tiny towel rapey shenanigans, his contract is fully guaranteed. I read somewhere the browns just spent a lotto ticket on Sanders with the hope he can "save" them until a buyout agreement is done with tiny towel.

Garrett is worth every penny, he's another Peppers and there's only 2 of them ever.

Ward is right there with horn among Talent evaluators, if not better. He's worth every penny too.

The Browns may have been better off with a tag and trade on Garrett. He's 29 and likely gonna be past his prime by the time they can fix this mess and they would've probably been better off with the draft capital and accompanying cheap contracts on younger players.

The Browns would have definitely been better off.  But probably not the GM that would/will be fired by the time those picks are up for selection.

You have to think he still ends up traded by midpoint at the latest of that contract

Still think sanders is the best QB out of this year's draft but hell no to bringing him in this year.  Bryce needs to prove himself as the QB for the next 6-10 years this year. If he can't he will be replaced next year. If we suck and the browns don't play sanders this year I'd be open to trading a late pick for him during the off-season depending on where we pick in the draft

It seems unlikely that you trade a rookie qb. Thats why it’s weird that they drafted Dillon and Sanders because normally having a rookie gives them some grace

but it’s the Browns

Not only weird, but if it were valid (I don't think it is) also kind of concerning 🤔

Because the people in this room didn't make that pick.

Their GM literally looks like he's contemplating quitting on the spot. LOL

"The Browns would have been much better if they had..."

...a starting clause with a damn near infinite amount of possible conclusions 😕

I've become a Bryce fan.

As far as Sanders, I'm a skeptic.

My guess is he becomes one of those guys who puts up a lot of highlight reel plays that fans point to and say "see, he's great" while simultaneously having an overall performance record that makes critics go "you sure about that?" 🤔
