I mean what you would give up for a Number 3 QB is minimal. Shedeur is at minimum a second round talent on a 5th round contract. I’d like to see what Canales could do with him with no pressure to compete, or look behind him, for a year. He showed as much promise as I’d seen from Bryce up until the Falcons game last season.

That’s worth a late round flyer.

Kindly note this is never going to happen so it’s really not even worth replying to. But it’s something I’d explore as GM/Head Coach. It’s also Teppers wet dream, if he worked out. No doubt the Browns are going to fumble the situation they find themselves in.

If he was truly a 2nd round talent, he'd have been drafted in the 2nd round.

Yes, he partially fell because teams didn't want to deal with everything that comes with him, but at the same time, if he really was THAT good of a prospect, there are enough QB needy teams that someone would have taken him in that 2nd round.

That he hasn't been able to clearly beat out Flacco, Pickett, and Gabriel also proves that he's really not a 2nd round talent, or he'd already have been named the starter.

LOL okay who has our #1 overall pick Bryce Young beat out to start  in Carolina ? Please tell me ?Or even better please tell me if Bryce Young was in the  same situation Shedeur Sanders is in right now  would BY have been able to win the starting job in Cleveland as a rookie? ?

& winning that starting job in Cleveland. right now would be hard for just about any rookie Qb. Flacco a former Superbowl MVP winning Qb & Pickett a former 1st round pick who started  in Pittsburgh then went to Philidelphia as backup on a Superbowl winning team then throw another 3rd round pick into the mix & your saying because Sanders cannot beat all of them out he is no good

Aare you serious right now you can't be serious right ?

You're touting someone being a backup QB on a SB winning team (who has 15 TD passes across 25 career starts) and another 40 year old player winning a SB MVP 13 years ago...

And you think I'm the one not being serious?

Yes, a true 2nd round QB talent should 100% be able to win that Week 1 starting QB job over those guys, no question about it.

Shedeur Sanders is still a rookie Qb.who very well might win the starting job in Cleveland .especially ,if he keeps playing like he did in that first game against the  Carolina Panthers

the Cleveland Browns are also in a position with the depth they have at Qb that they can bring those two rookie Qbs along slowly & give them  proper amount of time to develop  & learn behind a seasoned vets like Joe  lFlacco or even Kenny  Pickett  .which is what I think Stafanski is doing right now & it makes perfect sense no reason to start neither one of those two  rookie Qbs game 1 in Cleveland ...just saying

Plenty of Clevelanders said that Sanders should get more snaps with the first team because he had actually been the best QB in training camp. So, we don't understand all the dynamics going on, but being named the "starting QB," especially for a rookie, is probably going to take more  than two or three practices (especially before the first preseason game).

Dan built a D around a not good DC and with what they spent in cap and picks his job security should be on the line. Looking at the work he has done recentpy it's more than fair to be skeptical at this point.

On thr flip side Im more impressed with his cheap gems than his high picks or expensive free agents. Coker should be above XL on the depth chart so even if he can fins them they still have to play them while navigating the politics of the situation.

I'm not so sure he built a defense around a specific DC.

Most 3-4 defenders can fit a role nicely if they switch to a  4-3, especially when the OLB's are more like DE's and the DE's are more like DTs, which is the case for us with Scourton/Princley and Brown/Wharton.

I think if we move to a 4-3 next year with a new DC, we'd have a pretty good DL and then likely use FA and the draft to bring in some LB's.

It's some DE's and OLB's in 4-3's that don't have great fits for them in 3-4's sometimes.

Which is exactly why I was always against someone like Walker in the draft.  He's a 4-3 OLB and didn't really fit any role very well in a 3-4.

They just signed a SS that's only useful in Evero's scheme and a liability pretty much in any other D I can think of and an absolute dinosaur in 4-3.

Im fine on the 3-4, I just don't like the scheme or coaching personally. I also don't see any easy switch to 4-3. That unit has failed on most of their personal choices since Evero got here and at this point it's wishful thinking anything changed this year until something actually changes. If/when it does then we can all talk about what switch will be good in the future because I have zero faith Evero pulls himself out of the nose dive he is in currently.
