Yep. We have no idea what Bryce Young is like on the field or in meeting rooms. None. We know how he is in interviews. That's it. We're starting to hear about his true personality coming out in practices, jawing with Jaycee and Mike Jack. No way he could be doing all of that while he was stinking up the field the way he was rookie season. You just look stupid and people will call you out on that ish. Keep playing like he did at the end of last season, and we'll see the real Bryce come out. Convert back to the first 2 games, and we'll see him slink back into his shell.

I mean, BY has an entire collegiate career and 2 NFL seasons showing what he is on the field and sidelines.

I mean, Cam was the same dude at Auburn he was in the pros.   Bryce Young is the dude we saw at Bama for the most part (and that's when things were flying high for him).

Starts with the QB. Bryce has no energy or charisma. Despite what you hear publicly, Im skeptical this team is 100% behind him. This house of cards will collapse fast if he reverts to where he was pre-benching last season. I sincerely hope Im wrong though. He seems like a good dude otherwise.

Despite how laid back Bryces personality is I have heard nothing except extremely positive review and comments from past coaches and teammates about how fantastic a leader he is.

It is odd to hear that so often and forcefully when seeing Bryce so calm all the time.

You don't have to be a screamer or a cheerleader to be a leader.  You just have to be respected by your peers. If you're screaming and rah rah'ing around while playing like ass you're just gonna be seen as a joke. Like why don't you just STFU and get yourself straight and stop worrying about anybody else.

From a fans perspective I believe Dave leads more as a coordinator. He is super involved with being a QB guru. However showing an early doubt in the QB you are supposed to develop here can come off as if you are still green as a coach. In his other roles he couldn't change the QB as he went which made him focus on the teams chosen QB to develop and not giving away reps to others. Yes he gives off the energy to us as a positive type coach yet his lack of involvement on motivating the entire team shows on the field. We had more success with general type coaches who demanded player accountability but also encouraged them to be themselves and to play within their personality on the field without forgetting the basics. The team also needs field generals out there. Dave's speeches dont really motivate and I know he means well but man he is boring as a coach.

what else is a coach supposed to say about his quarterback?  I think that's largely just a coach that accepts his QB isn't a barker.   They are still going to talk glowingly about one that plays well or that they are heavily invested in.

Dave and really Rhule.....were both billed as motivators.  But they seem to be on the lite side of that spectrum.  Rhule was more buffoon.  Dave seems more buttoned up optimist than really your inspirational motivator (but I'm not sure that is really a NFL thing).   The inspirational motivator is really more a college thing and one that might largely pre-date NIL IMO.

I don’t care if Young never says a word

I don’t  care if he screams like his hair is on fire

i care that he executes at a high level and is the reason the Panthers wins games, not lose them

I care that he lifts the offense up and makes plays when things are not going well for himself and others   That is what good nfl QBs do, they find a way     They set or change the tone.  I want him to start finding a way and setting a positive tone

i care that he wins games when they matter, when the team is an underdog

so far, that has not happened

The Panthers have given him a quality line,   Quality running game,   more say in the offense, Decent receivers …a qb guru for coach

it is time

if not  this  year, win
