This has been the story since he was drafted.

With how bad the D looks again it could end up being everything is just bad and the fault will start at Tepper and roll down hill from there.

I expect big changes next year if we don’t have a winning season. GM, HC, DC, and QB. Some or all will need to be replaced if things don’t go well.

Sir, the Panthers are not going to have a winning season this year. They're too young/inexperienced at the skill positions. I'd say 2026 is the season for winning expectations. This year is for development.

it's a result of some ultra rich ego maniac that buys an NFL franchise & does not really understand ir let's say know poo about professional football & all at the same time thinks he knows everything

that's why every season you see much of the same thing constantly repeating itself ...just saying

I agree. I just don't see Evero as being a scapegoat after they brought him back this year. If Young doesn't play well they have Dalton to lean on which should also fall on them.

Rhule proved that a year 3 should be earned or it shouldn't happen.

Who would he get to come in at GM? Remember, he hired a firm to hire the best candidate which just so happened to be the only candidate mentioned. Pepper has been rejected by multiple coaches and I'd assume multiple GMs if we follow the coaches pattern. Could we see Marty Hurney 3.0?

They hired consultants and then just ended up with the gut his wife really liked lol.

It's a fair question. Maybe just let the consultants do the hiring instead of being 1/3 of the vote? So far his people have been asswater.

I agree, I think we will have 3-4 wins. To me, that means some people should lose their jobs.

Morgan and Canales should get a chance to draft their own QB. I just hope this franchise is ready to make a difficult decision on Bryce if he has a mediocre season. I worry If we win 6-8 games but Bryce looks like a low to mid QB, we will call it improvement and extend him. I would hope we move on from him and try something new, if he's not a top 10 QB this season.

Hopefully not that bad, but we'll know by week 4.

I just don't see how we're going to win games. The O is gonna have to put up 28+ points a game to win  and we look like a team that will struggle to score more than 14.

Morgan was part of the Bryce Young brain trust.

and Bryce Young was setup on a tee to be traded out of here after 2 games into the season last year.

Dan Morgan especially shouldn't get extended time.   I can handle Canales getting a QB that matches what he does.

    • So happy that LaMelo got the layup to go and *won* the game. How happy he was after the game, that's what a young dude like him needs to keep it going and keep the belief going. If we lose, LaMelo gets blamed, and he's got an offseason to be in his head and hear the noise like the last few years. The season might still have an ugly ending, but weirdly feels like last night was HUGE for this team moving forward.
    • My thoughts on Carolina's post-season run: Obviously, the season began with a below average Freddie Andersen and everyone hoping Kochetkov would pick up the slack, until he got hurt. Enter Brandon Bussi who had a made-for-TV movie type run until the end of the season, when he came crashing back to earth, his save % drops under .900 and the team needs to score 5-6 goals to win games. Freddie has shown signs of a resurgence and Bussi looked pretty good the last 2 games of the season, but both sample sizes are small and questions abound for all 3 goalies. The physicality of playoff hockey will take its toll. Save for a few players, the Canes best players are small, their top 2 lines are small and there's no getting around that. The only way to protect the size disadvantage is a strong forecheck. Allowing opposing teams to establish the offensive zone and create board battles with smaller players will hurt Carolina. The Stankoven line could be a difference-maker. If they continue to play well against lower defensive pairs, it only adds to the depth of the team.  The Aho line had stretches of absenteeism during the season. The Canes cannot afford to have them dry up offensively and leave the scoring to Ehlers and the Stankoven line. If they aren't performing well, teams will simply roll their best lines out on the Canes best playing lines.  If the Canes can get by Ottawa and get some help from Boston against Buffalo, I think they have a legit shot to make the finals. Make no mistake, I think their toughest challenges are Ottawa and Buffalo in the East.
