Honestly don't remember when it was, but they blitzed a DB who wasn't picked up and he hit Bryce as he was throwing and the ball just fluttered away since he was going deep to T-Mac on the play.

Ohhh yea. 1s, that was on 3rd down according to Gabe McDonald.

Found it!

TMac was gone. Easy 6 if Jourdan Lewis doesn't kill Bryce.

Oh wow, yea, he really made the CB bite on that out move and burned him to the inside.

Which is strange, because I was told he can't create any separation, weird.

The worst part is with Bryce's arm strength and seeing him throwing it from midfield, even though T-Mac was clearly going to be wide open deep, it probably would ave ended up as a lofted 50/50 ball because he'd need to slow down for it in the end.

Which again, is why T-Mac is the right WR for Bryce, because when those open deep balls become 50/50 deep balls because of Bryce, he's still able to make a catch on those unlike someone such as Golden who'd really struggle to make that kind of play in the end.

He has early season Bryce Young throwing him the ball and he's a rookie.

I've seen enough rookie receivers to get a feeling how they'll do, whether it's Bryce, Cam, Jake or Claussen throwing to them. And I can tell hype from hero.

T-Mac seems to be Meh at the moment. I hope he proves me wrong. XL... yeah, that guy ain't making the grade right now.

Bryce leave a LOT to be desired in arm strength but this ain't a play to clown him for it the ball is separated 1/4 of the way through his motion and leaves well before his arm is forward.

so you are going with just a horrific pass to Saunders?

well, I guess I am less of a Bryce hater than some think.  Because I don't think BY is THAT bad.

Yea, I do think it was a throw that sailed on him because his mechanics on the throw were that bad.

you can clown him for the deep ball to Tmac he actually got off.  Tmac had the defender beat over the top.  Tmac had to hit the breaks and come to a complete stop and wait on it to come down.  Then it becomes a 50/50 ball we thankfully got PI on.

you can't clown him for the one he didn't get off....you just can't assume he would have made a good throw if he got it off

I honestly don't see how anyone can see what T-Mac has done in camp, in the first preseason game, in the first game, and still come away thinking he's "meh at the moment"

Seriously, it's like you think he should have come out and put up a 15 catch, 200 yard, 3 TD day and anything less was going to make you unhappy with him.

As I pointed out already today, after one game where Bryce looked like he belonged as a backup QB for a college team, he still sits 25th in the league in receiving yards, 19th amongst WRs, and is 2nd overall and 1st amongst rookie WRs in yardage.

But sure, he's just meh.

If Bryce throws that deep ball accurately, Tmac ends the day with 6 catches and 120 yards and a touchdown. That's a pretty good showing for a rookie wr first game.

if BY threw the ball well, Tmac and Renfrow would have both had very good days.  I mean, I don' think Canales is very good.  But the game still setup for a lot of big pass plays that didn't happen because of BY

He was the 8th player taken in the draft and the first true WR taken off the board.

I saw what he did in the pre-season (camp doesn't count or we'd thing Bryce was great) and it was nothing really. Pretty much what we got from everyone.

Right now, he's meh. He can certainly prove me wrong.

Kelvin Benjamin was lighting it up once upon a time. So did Keary Colbert. Meh until proven otherwise.

No matter how strong his Bro vibe is, his game has been uninspiring so far. Light it up man, that's what we picked you to do. One handed no-catches and no YAC isn't going to impress anyone.

Anybody who really paid attention when Canales was OC with bucs and baker at QB can see the big play setups are always there. Its on the QB and offense to execute them when the time comes. Thats Canales offense, if you can't take advantage then the offense is pretty much dead.
