Panther fans sound off on Bryce

Cards weren't really blitzing that much the entire game.  The ones they sent just wrecked Bryce.

My opinion is you are over fixated on what happened as we got close to the goal.   The one possession we had in the 3rd quarter? That was a freebie to get down there.  It was literally just checkdowns to the TE when we weren't running the ball down... taking up the entire quarter.  Next quarter Cards were inviting the exact same behavior.  Which is why you got those back to back clock eating small ball 14 play drives.  Featuring RB and TE easy catches.

Right! They really didn't send more than the front 4/5 the whole game. The first 2 times they did, and Carolina was passing, were BIG plays for them. Agree.

I only mentioned the TD plays because they're scoring plays, and they tend to carry more weight. The main point is they were not sitting back in soft zone with everyone 20 yards back for 3+ quarters. They ran a lot of man and every completion wasn't a gimme. There were some tight window anticipation throws. He avoided pressure and made good throws - some were caught, some weren't. The bigger concern is he needs to take care of the dang ball. This isn't the Bryce we saw his rookie year or the first 2 games last year. That guy was afraid to throw the ball in a tight window or down the field.

Facts. Someone just offered me their ticket to Sunday's game and I told them nah... I'm good. Im not expecting much from this team to want to go.

I can't imagine going now.  I love my team, and I watch them as I can.  But going downtown, paying for parking, food, snacks, drinks, etc inside and outside of the stadium...No thanks!

Trey Lance?

Young cost a 9, 1 and a proven WR1 plus the 2nds. The 9ers weren't in a position that missing on that pick was going to be devastating because they still had Jimmy G. He was a bust pick, but not as big IMO because the expectations weren't as big and immediate.

Yeah but not one poster has framed it that way.  Starting in the 3rd quarter the Cards did invite the Panthers to take cheap checkdowns to eat clock and the Panthers did it.   And the strategy worked perfect in the 3rd.   14 play drive of TE/RB dumps and the entire 3rd quarter was gone.    Cards then carried the same strategy into the 4th.  It just didn’t work as well for them because what of what the rest of the Card team did

3 drives is what we are talking about.  Not 3 + quarters.  Those 3 drives were the bulk of Bryce’s production.   Literally every play wasn’t a freebie.  They weren’t trying to let Renfrow get into the endzone once they got all the way down. But Renfrow was down there because the Cards just wanted us to take the dump plays the gave us to run clock.

When the Cards didn’t want us to eat clock we couldn’t do diddly vs a meh D

Roger that. So 3rd quarter and on? No poster has framed it that way either. All I've heard was all of his yards were garbage time stats.

Would it help if I showed the presnap defensive alignments starting in the 3rd quarter? Again, not trying to argue or show anyone up. Just trying to inform.

For the record, this is the first offensive play in the 3rd quarter. Only 1 defender 10+ yards deep. 8 defenders are within 5 yards of the LOS. That is nobody's prevent formation, giving up everything underneath to TEs and RBs.

I can do the entire drive if you want. Let me know.  Here's 3rd down of that drive. Press with 7 on the LOS.

It's almost like they have no fear or respect for Bryce's arm.
