How many more plays does Lathan Ransom have to make before they finally give him the starting FS spot?

Nic Scourton needs to be starting. His motor never dies. PJ2 has already shown he's a high level rotational guy rather than a consistent starter.

Princely looked good too.

The young roster really stepped up today. If they can blank the Saints this squad could at least break even against the division.

Scourton needs to remain a starter. Just had a shut out with him in the lineup and was the most dynamic rusher on the field. He was getting pressure lined up inside and out. Also held his own setting the edge. Its no reason to go back to jones, he doesn't give you the versatility scorch does. And keep princely in the specialist  edge rush role for now till he feels out more.  Both of them on the field together is yielding results.

To me, all the rookies need to be in the lineup. The chances of us being in the playoffs are slim and allowing the rookies to get valuable playing time over questionable veterans should be priority one.

Dan Morgan has been getting some grief over picks we made, especially 2024 but I think many of his picks can turn out to be quality players, but they NEED TO PLAY.

      I have no strong opinion either way. I mean, for those who are out, do you really expect Tepper to hire anyone better? So far, Canales has probably been his best coaching hire. Granted, that's an extremely low bar to clear but I'm just saying it's not like there's a line of great candidates beating down the door begging to work for Tepper. Going 5-5 with the worst QB play in the league isn't terrible. Now with that said, I expect to start getting the hell beaten out of us now that the Saints have shown what I thought was obvious all along - sell out against the run and stack the box and absolutely force us to have to throw the ball and it basically makes the game unwinnable for a Bryce Young QB'd team.

      You're letting your hatred for him cloud your judgement, you can't say with 100% certainty that Bryce can't play anywhere else, especially since everyone here said the same about Darnold and Mayfield and are now backtracking to say "well they had the skills all along"... absolutely nobody was saying that at the time. You are forgetting that the Panthers are currently a poverty franchise that taints everything they touch, it is absolutely in the realm of possibility that Bryce sits for a few years and then looks like Mac Jones does right now. But I agree that it won't happen here, and the Panthers have to move on.

      That was me. Overall it has tightened up. Kickoffs are good. FGs are good normally. Punting game is good. PR isn’t bad. I didn’t see what happened on the block, who let the guy through. I knew we were putting a couple of new guys out there but thought they we gunner types. Chisena.
