So many fans look at sacks only. Had over 70 tackles 8.5 sacks, 17 tfl, 23% win rate and like 66 pressures with 32 being quick pressures last year. 🤦‍♂️

My lord

The only games I watched he did very, very little. I think in 3 or 4 NFC East games I saw he had 1 sack and a handful of pressures for what felt like a fortune. I'm pretty sure he ran right by a QB like he used to do for us, heh.

I didn't just look at sacks, I watched games. I forgot he was even on the Giants at one point until someone here said something in a game day thread, lmao

Idk why man…  I’ve just always felt he had the tools, but he gets really hot and he also gets really cold, and he could never stay healthy.  I feel like as long as he can stay healthy, in the rhythm he is in, he might be able to sustain it.

He definitely has the tools, he's similar to Darnold. He can look good in spurts but ultimately you just know he's gonna break your heart.

I fully expect the wheels to fall off the Daniel Jones wagon any day now. I absolutely do not think he's legit.

Colts are doing a really good job around him and playing to his strengths really well. They've got a nice system built to take advantage of his play and hide some of his issues.

This season in 6 games he has

7 sacks

Near 30 pressures

3 PD

30 tackles

Burns?

yeah, I used to always say it when he was here - he may have the most missed sacks I have ever seen from any single player my entire life.  If he had converted even half of the sack attempts where he had his hands on the QB and the QB broke loose from it each year, he would’ve averaged a minimum of 15 sacks a year.  I know, every pass rusher would be a X amount of sacks a year if they converted every attempt, but Burns near misses were astronomical.  If he is converting more of them with the Giants, it would not surprise me one bit for him to have a 20 sack year at some point.

This is exactly my take. I've never seen someone so almost incredibly impressive. He had so many narrow misses. Maybe he's put it all together... I just wasn't sure he deserved that contract at first.

Dude would fly by the QB in an absolute blur at 90mph at least 3-4 times every game. I used to call him a bottle rocket. He was fast as hell but once his course was plotted there was no adjustment. I used to always say if he'd slow down just a hair he'd be way more effective. He's just flying so fast that he can't adjust and he's just flat out missing sacks he should be making.

    • I used to think Juan was a Zod alt. Agree he's a great poster.
    • Hawks said nah we good and sent him to the shadow realm aka the Wizards. Cold blooded. I mean they're 2-2 in a series with a young up and coming Knicks team largely through 34 year old CJ McCollum. Even if they ultimately lose the series at least they are there and have something to build on. I think Hornets fans are just beaten down and lack the objectivity to assess the situation. They think we are going to get so much worse if and when we finally change gears. Worse how? We've already been a lottery team for years now. We've already been looking to win our first playoff series in about a quarter century. We already can't get past the play in and in failing to do so we have completely embarrassed ourselves twice looking like we don't even belong. Honestly there is absolutely no excuse for a team like the Magic to be more competitive and successful than us in the playoffs. Absolutely disgusting. But that's just me. I was fuging lit when we got the Hornets back in Charlotte but that is old old news. It's time for these boys to get into a playoff series. Enough is enough. If they can't do it for 2026-27 then they need to make wholesale changes regardless.
    • Not one single pick that is asking me why we drafted a guy in the first place. It was a guy we needed and/or a guy that had certain traits making them stand out. Best of all, I feel everyone we drafted are capable of stepping onto the field this year and have a meaningful role (even Kuwatch on special teams). Obviously, nothing is guaranteed but I'm not seeing any huge flags on guys because they're risky projects or massive overreaches.
