Did the Panthers get Mike McDaniel fired now?

He's almost certainly gone, but I will say McDaniel did seem to get the most out of Tua at QB.

I feel like Tua is basically what Bryce's ceiling is with an actual innovative offensive mind calling plays for him. Tua has better size, but they both have similar arm strength limitations.

Also one of the things that might keep McD around all year is their offense (as putrid as it is) is designed very specifically to protect tua and take advantage of their track star wrs and rbs.

they probably don’t have the personnel to just line up under center and run the ball like happens with most interim head coaches.

Someone has to pay the blood cost of losing to the Panthers, happens every rare time they win. Carolina Reapers…?

The Panthers are the lone bullet in the chamber of NFL Russian roulette.  If you lose to us, it's over.

Easily?  Jayden Daniels was offensive rookie of the year last year, and Bo Nix looks good as well.

They'd never do it, because it really would be insane to do, but if I'm the Commanders, I'd seriously consider trading Daniels after this season, especially as he'd get a HUGE return for him.

He's RG3 part 2, with his body type and style of game, I just can't see how he holds up long term, he's going to end up having a seriously injury prone career.

It would take some massive balls (or pure insanity) to pull the trigger on trading him, but I do think 5 years from now it would be looked back upon as a smart trade.

    • The Athletic posted their goalie rankings for the season... The description of the tiers are as follows... Where would you rank Freddie and Pyotr? And don't cheat and look up the article. I'll post their ranks and the link in a bit.
    • Refs will be in their pocket. Always have to account for that. They are 20th in rush defense. They currently have the worst pass defense in the league. I mean I want to say even Bryce could at least put up 250 or more passing yards given that but man he looked BAD when the pocket collapsed against Miami and they had the 20th pass defense. Just can't expect to consistently get clean pockets like that in this league even with the better OL's. I'd say with this being a home game hopefully our guys will be motivated regardless. We certainly seem to play much better at home. We'll see.
