Bryce needs a work load RB if you want to get the best out of him. I think its pretty clear on that at this point. Canales has certainly figured that out, overwhelming teams with the run and occasionally mixing in the pass when they dont expect  it can help a qbs efficiency a lot. Asking bryce to sling it when the defense knows it's coming is what has led to disaster in the past. Having him do less has led to more success.

The same could be said of any QB in the NFL.

17/25 3 TDs and a pick not his fault.  68% is pretty good.

He spread the ball around to 7 different players.  I listen to some of the talking heads that want to make a big deal about Rico leading the team in receptions, but I think it his highly overrated.

I like that Bryce has been spreading the ball around.

If you look at the RB leading the team in receptions, it sort of explains the Brooks pick last year.

If a team has a punishing ground game, the defense is fair to middling and has a QB that spreads the ball around to open receivers (no matter who they are) AND you're winning games...

Then what the fug are you complaining about?????

For fug's sake, just cheer a bit you twisted pisspots.

I’m not complaining at all, not that you were mentioning me. We had a great time watching the win.

I still agree that I don’t think Young is the guy. If we somehow got to the SB, it would be because he Trent Dilfered it. I still don’t see him as the guy we can compete for a title with but it’s been way more fun to watch with my son who went to the Miami game. Our schedule gets tough though so who knows.

7-10 career home record

Which considering the dumpster fire the team has been (and yes he owns a fair amount of that), 7-10 is in the ‘it could be worse’ zone. Which it was before tbis 3 game streak.

past 2 weeks teams have almost had us with ZERO from the RB department.  That's what you need in the NFL.  A QB that can overcome offensive issues around them week to week.   Whether that be zero rush game, OL allowing pressure, losing your best WRs, etc.

The team was objectively better at almost every position in 2022 than it is now, and had a better record. Like can you imagine this team missing the playoffs by one game

Not really.

Saying "overwhelming teams with the run and occasionally mixing in the pass when they dont expect  it can help a qbs efficiency a lot." doesn't apply to every QB in the NFL is simply foolish.

How many qbs need the rb to account for 200 yds in production to be efficient? Have you forgotten what bryce was doing prior to this that fast? Of course you did.

After the fun yesterday, I could be uncharacteristically optimistic in a moment of indulgence.

I just know I was happy with what I saw under Wilks compared to what I had been been watching. I would be feeling the same if this team could beat the teams they are supposed to beat.
With their road performances they would have to run the table at home and steal a couple road wins for a shot at playoffs. So no I don’t see playoffs as realistic.

Yesterday was Bryce hitting his ceiling. But I look at that like a 6 handicapper shooting 2 under. It just was a great day for him. He kept in in the fairway, avoided the hazards and sunk some putts.

Do I expect that level of performance on a week to week basis? It is technically possible but I don’t expect it.
We will see.
