He's earned it. I could only imagine the mental and physical toughness it takes being the blind side blocker for a 5'10" 200lb QB in the NFL....WoW that takes balls like serious HUGE BALLS!

Hate to say it but this is one of the reasons we really didnt need to extend Moton yet. Some tough decisions are going to have to be made. We cant afford to pay everybody.

He isn't going anywhere that contract is an albatross there's not a potential out until 2027. And even that would result in $10.6 million in dead cap.

Looking at Over the Cap it actually wouldn't be terrible cap wise POST-June1st trading him next year off-season.

The problem with giving him a big payday is that he probably will always be lesser than his peers in pass protection. He has improved in that area somewhat, but enough to reset the left tackle market? Not my money, I don't really care, but I am not so sure he should command that amount.

Where do you draw line top3 or top 5 money then?

I wish he goes for a "hometown" deal and doesn't try and reset market but it's going to be tough to argue not paying him BIG MONEY if he continues do be a stabilizing force on the left side of line.

DM got some tough decisions to make at the OT position coming up.

I don’t know if he’ll be worth re-signing at the price he’ll command based on the high demand for a LT. I could see a guy like Ickey getting massively over paid
