Trade for a QB?

I don't think people are saying we're 1 player away from being a contender.

I do though think it's a very legitimate statement to say, "we're 1 player away from this team looking like they're moving in the right direction and have a chance to get into contention in the next few years"

As I don't think we're 1 player away from contention, not even close, still need holes to fill (or young players to get better in the coming years) on defense before we can ever enter that conversation.

But if we had a legitimate QB who could be our long term solution, I think we'd be passing the eye test of a team on the rise, not looking like we do now, and that's of a middling team who is squeaking by wins against some of the worst teams in the league.

TMac, that's all i hear when you post now.

A good QB and we would be way past mediocre. Imagine Cam with this offensive line and all the weapons Bryce has

Remember in Cam's third year when we started out 1-3, and Cam was coming off a horrible game when we lost to Arizona 22-6 and for the season, he had as many turnovers as as passing TD's and many fans were already looking at the next draft for a qb?

Need to wait until the BY injury injury is known. I've seen ankle and if its a high ankle those can last 4-6. Im not video doc expert, that play didn't look like anything that was IR'd worthy..... but he didn't finish either....so....

FYI there is zero Free agents. Hooker would be the best option.

It's most definitely not a high ankle since the injury seemed to be when he got stepped on, don't think you can get a high ankle sprain without twisting/rolling the ankle

lol nice timing, as I was literally just watching a replay of that play about 2 minutes ago.

And I'll be honest, I still don't understand how he got a high ankle sprain from that one.  I can see where his toe caught in the ground ever so slightly as he was getting stepped on, but I still don't see how it could have caused a high ankle sprain that would cause him to miss time.

So I'll also just say it, if THAT is what causes him to get an injury like that and potentially miss time, it's not bad luck, it's because he's so small and easily injured.

Im not going to bust your balls too much, cause I didn't know either. I just know these days NEVER rule out high ankle, its took over the league starting 10 years ago. Players/trainers wrap the fug out of their ankles, that could be a cause. I know there are about 3 levels, 2 full weeks for the 1 grade. 6 full weeks and maybe even surgery for level 3. Nothing can improve missing time either, they have been working to find a better cure.

The truth- maybe they are lying about it being "high ankle", who knows.

    • We have our own issues with Bryce but it’s crazy how this franchise was dragged through the media the last 2 years for missing out on CJ Stroud and Caleb Williams   *whispers* Bryce played better than both of them in the playoffs the real mistake was mortgaging the future for Bryce when Drake Maye could have been there the next year
    • This board has a meltdown over literally everything. It means nothing.
    • O-line: 1 major player for Tackle (draft or FA) and a Center (if we don't resign Mayes). WR: Low pick or good FA signing? D-LIne: Def need a NT and a DE/OLB who can rush the QB. FA or Draft? TE; I don't know what they want to think of what they do? MLB: I think it's out 1st rd pick, but getting another in FA wouldn't hurt, thoughts? DBs; We need another sticky QB to play more man when needed. Again a 1st or 2nd rd pick IMO.  S: Everybody says we need a rangy centerfielder, draft or FA? Would you take one high in the draft? I don't use players because there are no guarantees who's there, just asking what makes sense. We know they'll fill "all" the holes in FA and then draft, so which FA are the better ones and which are just 1 year fillers? My thought: FA - Big DT, DE/OLB & MLB. 2 of 3 as those take a which to develop. Draft: MLB or Tackle, DB in the 2nd, DE/OLB in the 3rd. I think they need a solid T if Icki doesn't return better than before and Moton is getting old.  I also think thy need to resign BC on the O-line.
