Small minded response. Of course he's not going to get bigger. But if he shows continuous progress it MIGHT take him another year or 2 to reach a top 10 or so QB. We invested too much into him and he is not a bust and actually has better stats than CJ for the last 17 games. H'es not a bust he just may not be a #1 draft pick worthy but most aren't.

Bryce isn't actually showing progress.  Saying that is this season's' version of best deep passer in the league.  It's just gaslighting.

Bryce Young has been below average in every game this season but 2 games....same 2 games where Rico Dowdle channeled Bo Jackson and rewrote Panthers history.

Uh you can cut that down to 6 quarters. His first half against Miami was not too good.

Collage football

Afraid so. The word in the question was excel wasn’t it?

I guess I could say his passing charts are some of the most consistent in the league.

Slippery in the pocket and somehow avoids big hits

I have a theory tho that defenders don’t really know how to tackle him since if they reach forward they’re generally going to get hands to the face called on them.

also the Hail Mary at the end of the half against Jacksonville was bizarre. A DB blitzing from the corner had a kill shot on Bryce and then just kinda stopped running. I wonder if they’re being coached against hitting him hard because it’d look so bad, even a legal hit, it’d draw a flag.

He’s actually got a good little dip/turn thing in the pocket. Pretty smooth little deal when you are about to get killed by some 6-4 300 behemoth. When he can’t do that move or roll out and gets drilled, he takes it like a man, much less grimacing than our previous #1 overall QB. He’s also an efficient runner when he’s decisive. Bryce is his best after a little 20 yard scramble. Gives him confidence that he doesn’t have as a pocket passer.
