Worst of the offense

13. RT Taylor Moton: 57.4

14. WR Xavier Legette: 57.4

15. TE Tommy Tremble: 53.3

16. QB Andy Dalton: 42.6

17. RT Yosh Nijman: 42.5

Nijman also filled in after Moton left with a knee injury. He allowed a team-high five pressures and was given a team-low 22.9 pass-blocking grade.

Dalton completed 16 of his 24 throws for 175 yards and an interception. He lost a pair of fumbles as well.

Best of the defense

1. DL Derrick Brown: 70.2

2. S Lathan Ransom: 69.8

3. CB Mike Jackson: 69.4

4. ILB Claudin Cherelus: 66.9

5. ILB Christian Rozeboom: 60.4

Carolina allowed 216 rushing yards and two touchdowns to Bills running back James Cook, so there wasn't much run defense to speak of. But Brown finished with a team-best 71.2 grade in that department.

Rozeboom cleaned up with a game-high 12 tackles.

Pretty much what I saw as well.

Worst of the defense

14. S Nick Scott: 45.1

15. DL Tershawn Wharton: 43.7

16. DL LaBryan Ray: 42.1

17. CB Jaycee Horn: 41.7

18. OLB Princely Umanmielen: 28.3

Horn's 41.7 mark is the lowest of his season.

Umanmielen's 28.3 mark is the second-lowest for a Panthers defender in 2025.

Also checks out.

Only player deserving of a good grade was T-Mac after that fiasco. And, if punters count, Sam Martin for flipping the field some. No one on the OL deserved a lot of praise, even considering I charged 5 of the 7 sacks to Dalton yesterday. Surprised a few defensive guys didn't get 0.0 grades.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
