That is going to be the high point of his career.

Tbh it was one of the high points of my Panthers fandom the last few years to see that kind of energy and confidence from a QB... I may not want to see him anymore but that pass was great.

It was. By far the highlight for me.

Receiver was wide ass open. And damn if he didn’t hit him.
That could have backfired so hard though lol.

Yeah he can play the middle of the field when there is a 10x30 yard gap there and a wide open teammate. I'm assuming the credit on that one should go to the play design lol.

Hey, at least we didn't sign Justin Fields...

I mean it would have been a lot cheaper for the same result. Per these stats I don't really get why Fields is actually lower lol. Plus a lot more traits for the "QB whisperer" to work with. Also the Jets sold at the trade deadline to tank so their defense is complete shite at this point.

Yea those numbers don’t tell the whole story, but I’d take Fields just based off those stat lines.  Which is awful because Fields is hopeless as a passer.  But he has a higher completion percentage, YPA, and TD/int ratio.  Plus the rushing yards and fewer fumbles.  Lol.

Also I know the timelines don't match up, but he doesn't have the burden of that insane trade up we did for Bryce lol. I know some Bryce lovers want people to move on from that, but it's always going to be a factor in determining the bust level between him and anyone else we critique. Fields was just an average #11 pick, only knock on the Bears trying that in hindsight was they passed on Micah Parsons. The Panthers on the other hand really screwed the whole team and future draft picks up wasting like at least 4 years of our football watching lives.
