Doubt they win another game

I'm not gonna go that far.

Hate to say it, but this is looking like another one of those years where we'll win just enough games to put us out of position to draft players we could really use 😞

Honestly, I'm not so bad with that. Let the other bottom feeders clear the chum a bit for us. Might keep us from taking the sucker's bait that seems to await the top of the draft order.

Picking around 12-15 might bring things into better and more realistic focuses.

I was shocked we beat the Packers. I thought we might lose out from 4-4. Probably gonna go per usual. We're gonna lose a poo ton of games and be looking at a pretty sweet draft spot in December if we can just close the deal but then we'll win a game or two to even fug that up.

I hope we draft around 6th or 7th, and trade back to late in the 1st and accumulate some more picks. We need a few starters and lots of depth.

I don't want to go in with any plan to trade down. If the right guy is there and the trade offers aren't great take him. I'm always for keeping options open. I never liked Gettleman's shtick of running the pick to the podium immediately either. If the phone is ringing and there's time on the clock listening to the offer is free and you're only limiting your options by not hearing it.

If you buy into the theory that teams can and will load up to stop the run, and that Young is unable to take advantage, you will be delighted to know that other than the Falcons, every opponent we face for the rest of the season is currently in the top half of the league for lowest yards allowed per carry.

Three teams are currently in the top 10 of that list, Saints at 9, Rams at 6, and Seahawks at 3.

It sure looks like Young will have to be a significant factor down the stretch, and that running Rico over and over and over is not going to be the winning play.

    • The fans have given up, but I do not think the players have. Just winning 3 of 4 leading into this game, and then players accepting responsibility and not excusing away the terrible game has shown the locker room hasn't been lost.  This is the latest into the season our locker room hasn't been lost since the Wilks season, and then it was lost early due to Rhule and then re-gained late in the season. It's actually the one thing I like about Canales, that he seems to have forced a complete 180 in our locker room culture in his almost 2 years in charge here now.  That's still not good enough for me to want us to bring him back next year, as I think he's pretty bad in most other aspects of the job, but it was still something badly needed for this franchise.
    • Sign Taylor Heinicke, and start the shlow transfer of Bryce to the coaching staff. If he really in truly has a computer brain (just can't do it on the field), maybe he could call a decent game one day.
    • It's not something you want to happen, but again, it happens on every team in every sport and every season. Sometimes it doesn't cost your team the game and just makes a great team have a close game against a bad team, but it happens.   How do you think the Bills lost to the Dolphins this week? Same thing, they figured it was an easy win, probably didn't give their 110% attention/effort in the week leading into the game, expecting it to be a cake walk blowout win. And again, I'm not saying this is a good thing or that I'm happy it happened, but to pretend this is some groundbreaking revelation that is unheard of, is just asinine, it's the exact opposite of that, it's expected and mundane.
