Canales is telling us, but we aren’t listening

That has been my main concern since I heard him open his mouth. Offensive coaches seem to be susceptible to have that makeup.

He is soft and beyond that sounds effeminate to me. Like the little goody two shoe teacher’s pet in elementary school that probably was gay in adulthood but I didn’t know about gay in the 3rd grade. I just thought he was a sissy. Lol. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
But we are talking a hyper masculine sport and mindset. If you are not totally a genius that everyone realizes you are a special talent..  Then you need toughness. Overt toughness. It isn’t flag football yet.

Anyone that writes a damn book apologizing for doing drugs and cheating on your wife is a cuck.   Why not handle that poo personally and not broadcast it to the world?

I am pretty such the book is about his struggles. Also his wife would have known about the book and okayed it. It isn’t like he just wrote the book and then told his wife and that is how she found out.
No offense man but this is a dumb take. Nothing cuck about it.

They were also asked to do it because in the book they talk about how they overcame their martial struggles by talking about their own at their church’s martial retreats.

The book is 80% written by Izzy.

the chapters where he confesses are very difficult to read because the guy is so fuging full of poo. It just drips off the page.

the book was published by one of those shitty self finance publishing houses. It wasn’t even edited. It reads like at one point it was a screenplay.

Izzy wanted the book because she was starting her career as an evangelical motivational speaker, and she needed someone to sign after her speeches. Canales was already an evangelical motivational speaker when all these events happened. You get the sense him paying for this book was part of an agreement between the two.

They’re both grifters, it’s just one of them grifted one guy worth billions.

Also Dave Canales and Brad Idzik know each other in the biblical sense.

Sorry man, but if you are putting your faults, sins, egressions or whatever in a book coming clean about being a bad husband then thats cuck behavior pure and simple.  Handle that poo in house and dont try and teach others a damn lesson about it

At the time he wrote it he had just been demoted in Seattle and probably thought his career was at a stand still.

Overcoming something like this and selling the story is evangelical scam poo 101

He has lost them because people already felt the need to blabber about this to the press.

Lack of culture.

I think the thing that struck me is it was ickey as one of the ones who spoke out

ickey never speaks out

my god, ickey lived through Rhule And Reich and his second year with Canales and never heard a peep

it really makes me wonder who they were addressing…..was it Young  ?

With ickey talking it had to be someone on offense   I don’t suspect the line or rbs as they are all vets.  That leaves qb1 and wrs

…and also offense is DC’s side of the ball

one of the best things that could happen is getting a true OC IN not Izik and have DC be strictly a HC

Hard for us to know who it was. I would look for the mistakes maybe. Who was making them.

QB has a pretty massive on that opening drive that likely impacted Canales the rest of the game

yeah I would say you are right. I just don’t see how Bryce would be all cocky with the way he has been playing. I have no clue how know who it was except it wasn’t the guy calling it out.

But he did have a big to do with his charity or foundation or whatever last week. Something to do with sneakers maybe I don’t really follow that stuff. Possible distraction I guess.

    • Hello, soccer fans [crickets, tumbleweed flies by]. The World Cup kicks off in less than 2 weeks and, well, 🇺🇸USA USA USA🇺🇸 and all. We beat Senegal 3-2 yesterday in a tune-up friendly at BoA, with Christian Pulisic finally entering the scoring column.  How will we do in the World Cup once our tournament kicks off on the 12th? Well, there are 48 teams (assuming Iran is there) and it feels like one of two thing happens: we get grouped for the first time since '98, or we make it to the Round of 16 for the third time in the last four World Cups. I tried out the lottery for an Atlanta game and struck out, so yesterday was as World Cup as I'll get for in-person ($285/ticket for like Norway vs $39/ticket for USMNT right beforehand was a layup).  The U.S. has a travel-heavy schedule in group play, playing in LA, Seattle and LA. Real road warrior mentality being built. Glad the east coast gets worse kickoff times for a NA World Cup than a Qatar World Cup.
    • Well, that's the thing. Drafting players only for their physical measurables as you are suggesting only really happened during 2024, and X unfortunately has become the poster child for that. To be clear, it's not necessarily about drafting RAS over skill, but RAS over NFL-readiness and/or a solid body of work. Lots of players show skill in college, but those skills don't necessarily translate to the NFL for a multitude of reasons. But, getting back to the main point, to be clear, I believe that our FO is still enamored with physical gifts (who wouldn't be?), but now they're letting Dr. Eric Eager's proprietary system--his "secret sauce" prioritize the players that the Panthers draft, and it seems like it weighs not only a solid body of work, relative to a college career of course, but consistent gradual improvement as evidenced by production pretty highly.
    • Its a good article about how pathetically bad our past drafts ('23 and '24) have been. Building the team in '23 since we weren't ready yet and taking your qb in '24 made so much more sense in hindsight. Ladd McConkey over XL is pretty much a given but not sure it does as much to change Bryce's trajectory as the author suggests.  As bad as '23 and '24 drafts were, the '25 and '26 really give me hope.
