How much influence do you think Tepper has on the day to day operations?

No one here has any concrete idea. Conjecture and speculation only.

I don't know why people even worry about this. He has as much or as little day to day involvement as he wants.

If I owned the team you guys would hate me because I would be involved in everything!

Sitting Bryce last year was just a pivot in the Bryce plans. They were never done with him because it's always been about him. The consensus here is that they were surprised when Dalton fell apart and Bryce looked better after DC had a chance to reset amd work with him, the thing Frank wanted.

My guess is that it still is but DC knows he is fugged in that regard now but Tepper is still expecting things to keep going.

Sorry for being dense. I guess you are saying the consensus is what I bolded, and that they were really done with Bryce when they benched him?
Or the first part before that?

Myself, I didn’t go for that when I saw him get the garbage time opps but I guess I have seen that from people.
It would have been nice if the mechanical fixes took, but they obviously haven’t.

I feel like the previous years, there were many reports of him being overly involved in everything. I really haven't heard much this year, so I'm hoping that he got the memo and is taking a step back. Who knows though

If he put down the mandate of Bryce on the hiring of the coach and GM, he can step back and not involve himself in the daily details, with his influence still impacting the daily and the macro view.

I agree with the guy that said people would hate me when if I were owner, because it is my way or the highway at the point I own the team.

I like to think I would listen to pros and accept their reasoning, until it proved to be flawed and then I would snatch up some of that ownership power and wield it.

I think Tepper was largely truthful on what he would do here.  He isn’t in on most things.  He hires people to do jobs. He is in on the big stuff.  Folks probably know what does and doesn’t need a thumbs up or down on.   I don’t think he is telling folks what to do exactly.  I think when things are glaringly bad…..he goes so, what about X.  And there will be talks on X.  Until X isn’t a problem.  Tepper’s biggest issue thus far IMO is he just hires bad people at the top .

But it’s not like he is the Colts owner with a live headset on, on the sideline, behind the coach, taking notes.

People worry about it because of the same huge issue that has affected everything since he was over drafted.
QB is such an outsized influence anyway and when they keep trotting him out there hoping for a different result, people need to understand why that is happening. I guess.

Man I expected exactly what the Saints did, but didn’t expect it to be That bad from Bryce. Things are really getting interesting.

Yep. The narrative is that they were done and then he came back. It's the most common take and I see it more than anything else.

This year they didn't make it through a series before Dalton broke his thumb and Young was miraculously healthy the next game with Dalton not being on IR when, I belive, it's the second time he broke his throwing thumb.
