This board is full of groupies. Groupies as in you only have something good to say when we win and sometimes you dont say good things then. If you are a fan you stick it out!! You understand this is a TEAM sport and you dont put your personal feelings in it.  You understand rebuilding a team is rebuilding and not a video game. You understand everyone has to buy in not just a couple of role players. Today I need for the Panther haters who wear process blue to turn in their jerseys. Pick a new team. Pick the steelers they go to the playoffs every year. The real panther fans are sick of sharing the table with you, sick of sharing a beer with you after listening to you cry every game. This is football this is entertainment.  Stop being a victim and candy ass. Start representing 🙌 if not you can definitely go be a Falcons fan. New Carolina new standards no more meow mix podcast fans. Gtfoh

OP I agree 100%. Easily some of the most fickle, least informed fan base I have ever conversed with about football.  Wine and cheese fans for sure, it def pisses me off that I am have to be associated with them at times.

Even when the Panthers were rocking the stadium would be full of visitor fans. Very very sad

Any Panthers fans right now are probably 95% hard-core fans. We all care about the team otherwise we wouldn't be on this forum posting.

You dont really get casual bandwagon fans until you have sustained success. We got a little taste of that when we were rolling off Ws in 2015

I would add, I am a football fan. There were no Panthers when I started.
The Panthers are my football team and have been for all their existence.
But I don’t have posters of players on my wall. way past that type of ‘fanning’. Knock yourself out with that just GTFO too when you start throwing the cheerleading type of fanning at me telling me that is what I should be doing.

I have earned the right to have a high bar, to be cynical, to be critical, all of it. Also to be happy when we pull one out.
I look long term. what happened this week is great but where are we headed? That is more the way I think about it. As if you could understand that.

It’s the same 5-6 morons in every thread repeating the same crap

The loudest ones are always the most clueless ones and to appear clueless on this board is quite impressive

Bryce has proven he can play. Kid is tough as hell. I’m not sure he’ll be able to walk on that ankle today.

We have a coach that continues to make terrible roster decisions that’s holding this team back that already lacks talent. Some of us have been begging for TMac to get more snaps from the slot. TMac struggles when pressed. Finally Canales moves him around yesterday and he goes for 130. Curhan or Corbett should be playing RG. Instead he has Zavala out there responsible for a whole bunch of bad sh!t. Chuba shouldn’t see the field yet he still had him split with Rico for a bit. He started Corbett over Mays to begin the year.

The lack of deep shots can be attributed to play calling and OL not being able to hold up. There were a few throws yesterday Bryce maneuvered around in the pocket masterfully. He faced a lot of pressure yesterday and torched the number 1 passing defense. Young is calling out protections, checking to correct plays, he had TMac pop out quick on the 3rd down play in that first drive. We’re really starting to see Young’s smarts show and at 24 it’s encouraging to see.

Hopefully Dan and Dave can figure their sh!t out. If not then Bryce will eventually pair up with a good coach and an organization that can properly surround their QB and he’ll be just fine

exactly a true fan supports the qb the team drafts and never criticizes the qb no matter how bad they appear to play bc its not the qbs fault ever its every other player on the teams fault and coaches fault.  a true panther fan is a bryce young fan forever and ever.  and true panther fan realizes the real byoung was the qb that playef against the falcons yesterday every other game he ever played was the coach and other players fault.  go byoung forever.

Bryce has proven he can have a game here and there. He hasn't proven he can have any type of consistency whatsoever.

The people you're calling clueless keep saying the same thing. Bryce needs to play consistently for an entire season. That's it. Bryce had a great game today. He's also played some of the worst games I've ever seen this year.

You can be a football fan and recognize in what is realistically a contract year we need consistent play at a higher level to determine if Bryce is worth 45m a year. It's pretty simple really.

    • I definitely respect your opinion more than Tracy McGrady, Vince Carter, and Carmelo Anthony (whom I just watched on their show, all saying NOBODY wants to get the Hornets in the post-season). You win.
    • For all the good feelings about Bryce Young, when you read between the lines, it's what DC says and doesn't say that makes us know that Bryce hasn't necessarily been the supercomputer that they thought he would be. This season, Bryce has to make a tangible progression on the field. "A big part of it is being able to operate at the line of scrimmage — not in the huddle — when we want to, and he’s certainly capable of that," Canales said about Young. "It’s not solely on him. It’s a group that’s pretty young. You have to trust all the guys to go up there, communicate verbally or nonverbally and execute what we’re doing. We’ve made huge strides in that regard. His ability to alter things based on what they’re giving you will give us another edge, which he’s continued to grow and had some great examples down the stretch where he identified things they were doing, got us to the right check and capitalized on some plays. Want to see him do that more when it’s appropriate. We don’t need to be changing things just to change it." The implications, perhaps insinuations, are pretty evident. Bryce is just going to have to do better. "And then for Bryce, it’s the identification of early on the cues that the defense are giving us, to be able to eliminate parts of your progression before the ball’s even snapped. That happens with time. I’ve seen quarterbacks really own and master, which allows them to play lightning fast." Obviously Bryce isn't necessarily picking things up as fast as Canales would like, and I can only assume that Canales is making comparisons to Russell Wilson, Geno Smith and Baker Mayfield. But, of course, not everyone picks things up at the same rate. Bryce's pace has left Canales wanting for more. During the coming season, I don't believe that it will be good enough for Bryce to start putting things together in December, evidence of the light switch being on is going to have to show itself in September. Basically, it's really the moment that we've all been waiting for, the one that we thought should've happened earlier, the one that brings Bryce's accountability in the spotlight. On an off note, perhaps to that end, we should consider the possible implications upon the draft, but that's another story. Basically, it's time for Bryce to sh¡t or get off the pot. https://roundtable.io/sports/nfl/panthers/news/carolina-panthers-dave-canales-holds-nothing-back-on-bryce-young-in-new-interview
