So, after Sunday's game does that mean we're stuck with Bryce for the foreseeable future?

I would give him another year.

I hope the the don't pick up the option that will cost them 30 million.

However, If Bryce finishes the season playing decent ball, by all means sign him for at least 1 year, add a good veteran QB and draft one. Works for me.

Suggesting that all QBs without a ring are in the same bucket is dumb. Crashing out over being called out for it doesn't change anything other than refuting your claim to not care what others think.

The guy mentioned Cam and Bryce as a comparison, do you actually read posts? Thought this was what your job was, hell you shouldn’t even be posting an opinion if you’re moderating, other Mods keep the peace and allow discussion, try looking up the definition.

The original post I replied to compared Bryce to Cam, but you probably never read that because you’re to damn busy being a keyboard warrior on a power trip.

They could, but it's not likely his agent will let him play on his 4th year. Most rookie QBs don't. Daniel Jones is the only one I can remember playing the final year of his rookie contract. He'll either request an extension(before) or trade(after) if we decide not to exercise the 5th year.

The ball would still be in the Panthers court. If Bryce is playing decent, give him an extension, if not, honor his request for a trade.

He's either getting 5 year option,  extended or we let him seek free agency.  There won't be no bring him back for one year type deals his agent wouldn't allow it.  I just hope it isn't for like 50 million 5 year type deals.

I have nothing against him and root for him every game.  He's like Rozebloom , he gets a sack I'm cheering,  but wouldn't be mad at a up grade. Got to be a fan of the team and not a single player.  A large contract for an underperforming Qb will keep us from paying the defensive talent we need to take the next step..

Its too late for that.  Time has run out.  You dont give him a ext if he plays "decent".  He played "decent" at the end of last year and look what happened.

Would you pay him 40-50m AAV based on half a season? We saw him improve last season then fall off a cliff to start the year. It's a conundrum for sure.

I don't know the right answer, but the Panthers need to make the right decision because  right or wrong it will affect the team for several years going forward.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
