Just because you throw for a lot of yards doesn’t mean you’re a good quarterback. Passing yardage is kinda overrated.

Name the 30 better quarterbacks

There are 24 with higher qb ratings (below league average)

23 with higher completion pct (below league avg)

20 with higher td % (below league avg)

Hes above league avg in int %

22 with a higher qbr

27 with a higher yds per attempt (below league avg)

 

Hes a bottom 3rd qb in pretty much everything

Honestly, probably several.

But the bigger issue is can Bryce finally break his own ceiling?  Last Sunday was an incredible game.  We can't expect that level of incredible, but we'd like to see consistency.  If Bryce can add a solid game this week, that's a good first step.

I saw an interesting video from Brett Kollmann (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABoLgCdTgZc if you're interested) about the perils of pulling support to quickly on coaches, QBs and staffs in the NFL.  I still think we ride the Bryce train in 2026, add legit competition from FA, and see what kind of guy he's going to be.

Bryce can't be a week 10-17+ QB.  He's got to be more consistent on a game to game basis.  I hope we can see that soon.  You can absolutely count a pretty high number of "better qbs" but you'd also have to compare their situation.

Depends what week it is. 
On very rare occasions it is maybe 7 or 8 tops but most weeks it is 20 to 25 ans some weeks it is about 30.

Can’t be 20 better? Thats child’s play.  Bryce Young is not in the top 20 today 

Only way you could invent an argument there aren’t is if you start talking contracts, age and basically future/building scenarios and start knocking guys with no real future off

Some teams employ multiple.  Take the Bengals.  Today, Burrow and Flacco are better.  

the burden here is really on the Bryce hypers.

Fields. Gabriel (still very young, so...). Geno (but only because he can't help throwing INTs constantly). Ward (and again this could change). Rattler?

It’s hard to argue he is unquestionably better than Fields or Rattler.   Given the  argument for Bryce can’t really be made statistically and they also play for bad teams 

that’s sort of his tier.  Put him where you want to in that tier but the Rattler, Fields, tier is his
