longer version? The NFL holds back final schedule for Week 17 and 18 as TBD for scheduling purposes. Go figure

main schedule point is to keep Tampa and Carolina in the same timeslot so the two games can be competitive rather than letting one matchup be a cupcake due to results of the earlier game (assuming that week is important for the NFC South race)

Whew, it won't compete against the Pop Tart Bowl (#12 BYU Cougars vs the #22 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets - Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 3:30 PM ET)

And yes, the Pop Tart Bowl DOES have the best marketing plan of all the bowls

BYU? Hell, they have at least as strong of an argument as ND for being snubbed from the playoffs. Why didn't they take their ball and go stomping home? What are they doing playing?

BYU vs GT looks like it'd be a good game in general. Looking forward to that (plus the pop tart shenanigans)

Somewhat ironically, BYU, previously before joining a reformulated Big 12, was also an Independent.

If we get into a situation where the Seattle game doesn’t matter, would Canales rest starters for the away Tampa game?

There will be a lot more clarity after the game tonight and our game Sunday to these scenarios, but there is a chance where the Seattle game means nothing.
