Ekwonu doesn’t get dog walked under 2 minutes in the 4th, we drive, kick a FG and win

Ok. That was funny.

Still doesn't change anything. But that made me chuckle.

I actually agree. Just not on that play.

Yep

Yeah, and Ikey is prone to mistakes but I am not gonna crush him as a pivotal reason why we lost that game. Especially in the midst of a very good season for him overall.

I think the blame goes almost entirely to Canales and the coaching staff and the bulk of the remnant once again falling on Bryce.

Other players like Ikey, Ransom, etc certainly had their fair share of critical individual mistakes but I think the top line issues are the overwhelmingly biggest.

Made me think of superman 3 with Richard Pryor. That movie was so bad. The only thing that could have saved it was Richard Pryor being stand up Richard Pryor.

I don't "blame" Bryce for that play. Icky got whooped. It is what it is. But Bryce has a bad habit of always backpedaling under pressure and rarely ever stepping up in the pocket and that dates back to college. Had he stepped up there were options. That's all.

The real problem is that we basically all knew we were cooked after that play. 2nd and 19 with Bryce at QB is basically the end of the drive. We all kinda understand that. Sure, there been this or that rare occurrence where we've overcome it but by and large that's almost always a drive killer for us. That's just Bryce at QB. Your offense is handcuffed and the margin for error is practically nonexistent. He was sacked on time all game and that basically meant game over.

Lol QB can't see the field so it's the LTs fault for not being perfect

So many people that hate bryce no matter what dont understand how progressions work.  He was clearly reading right to left.  The bull rush got to him before he would have ever had time to get to the dowdle read.

You know, oddly, in games he has been sacked the most this season, he has also been the most productive.

I think some of it is just that those are the games we've thrown the ball more. It's hard to get sacked much when you're trying to limit your passing attempts to around 20ish while you lean on the run. Overall, our sack percentage is 30th in the league. The overall pass protection has been very good.

People who don’t know football think this o-line is good at pass protection. Any other QB yesterday gets sacked 4 times minimum, Bryce is a small slippery sob with a lightning release. You noticed every time Canales calls a shot play or a seven step drop back Bryce is getting smoked. Canales is doing his best to hide this line flaws, we only call shot plays when it’s one on one and Bryce throws with anticipation, outside of that we are straight up playing for 3rd and short. There’s a reason we have to overpay for guys like Damien Lewis and Hunt both those guys are considered average lineman by most team standards. Chase Young had a field day yesterday, but he just couldn’t get to Bryce fast enough

Lef tackle is the BLIND side for right handed QBs. That's why they get paid so much. If your LT is getting dog walked into the QB in 2 seconds, that is not the QB's fault. Geez people. You would only say that about Bryce Young. Truth is Chase was beating Ickey like a drum all game - against the run and the pass. It wasn't speed rushes either. He overpowered him all day. Bryce basically escaped multiple sacks throughout the game. Dalton would have gone down at least 7 or 8 times yesterday, including that play.

Chase Young bull rushes Ickey almost straight into Bryce in 2 seconds, who is looking right trying to push the ball downfield. He goes down.

And we are all here seriously talking about how Ickey did his job and Bryce didn’t
