Bryce Young is the first Panthers QB to throw for 20+ touchdowns in a season since Cam Newton in 2018.

Finally someone else who understands this.

How is he supposed to get volume stats when the D is giving up consecutive 7 minute drives and they’re force feeding the rb despite them getting 3 yards a carry?

Carolina’s O is flirting with the top 10 in time of possession in 2025.   The D isn’t living on the field preventing Bryce from production.   It’s just flat out low production/ceiling offense.

and that’s tough to win with that model in the big picture.  even if our D was better that’s a hard formula to win with.  This season is really weird/impressive season.  But it’s not a good blueprint for us to think we can keep doing it as such

Pair that with our defense who hasn’t been able to get to the qb consistently, it’s amazing we are in first place. What a season.

Yeah, it’s just one of those quirky season.  I do sort of chalk it up to sort of that Steve Wilks respectable window.  It’s not really a plan to be good.  But with some help you can end up respectable.

b young is a 150 yd passer 1 td 1 turnover but sometimes u luck up get 2 tds and almost 200 yards with no turnovers but those days are rare.

Upon looking it up, Bryce Young has had 0 games of 1 TD 1 turnover this season. His last three games account for 6 TDs and 0 turnovers.

Crazy, honestly.

See, this is how you can tell someone just reads stats.

I watched Teddy play. He was awful. Stats looked great, but only because he was averse to any form of risk. He was the opposite of clutch - we had chances to win so many games on a final drive that year, and we did that in exactly zero games. Genuinely, one of the most atrocious years of QB play in team history, right up there with year 1 Bryce, Jimmy Clausen, and Weinke.

That Vikings game was maddening as hell.

Lol 13 pages of bitching because somebody posted a positive Bryce Young stat after a win.

I like to look in the top-right corner at "top posters in this topic," and see how many of the four I can guess in advance. I've yet to get fewer than three correct.

We’re a ball control offense. If the defense isn’t getting off the field and the offense is killing the clock, we won’t get many possessions.

Which is great for being in games late, not great for fans.

But you know what? The only teams the Panthers have really struggled hard with this year are AFC. If we can get to the playoffs, and get a home playoff game, I firmly believe we could get to the Championship. We’ve beaten both the Rams and Packers, each of which we’d play in the divisional most likely.

scoring points is whatever, who cares about that

take a look at the percentage of "big time throws", on 2nd and long, in the 3rd quarter, of away games, while trailing by 7 or more, and get back to me alright

He's been good at protecting the ball overall the second half of the season it seems.

Those are team stats which are dependant on the O line, the receivers, the rushers, the offensive play calling etc.

They are useless when evaluating Young.

We're well below the league average on points per possession, so it isn't just ball control / defense.  The reality is our offense, especially our passing offense (rushing is ranked 10th, passing 26th), isn't moving the ball well overall.

But hey, we're winning and at least to me we are ahead of schedule as a team (I thought next year was competing for the division).
