Bryce is elite at deep throws

JMO, but a deep ball passing threat has to be able to make that throw anytime, from anywhere on the field. Bryce has been able to make some deep passes, we've seen it. He's dropped some beauties. I still don't consider him a premier deep ball threat because he can't make that throw from everywhere. He's not stepping up into a crowded pocket and making a deep throw. To be elite, that throw can't only come from certain spots and under certain conditions.

8th in big time throws is not a numbers that represents deep shot attempts.  Big time throws is a made up PFF stat that includes things like tight coverage on a 5 yard route to the sideline

Well, The OP actually provided the stats.  While inknow how people are about PFF, he at least provided them in his post.

Just to be clear. I've been watching football for many years with many different QB's here and on other teams. I've never before seen such a heavy emphasis on this "big time throw" metric before. And I've seen ultimately mediocre QB's make some really nice throws in a Panthers uniform.

I love football.   I've watched my entire life.  

Watched a lot of prolific passes since the 80's. 

The number I've seen with what I would consider, cannons,  that were also what I would consider accurate enough to be considered elite in my book, are few and far between.  In fact,  the most accurate deep ball throwers didn't have cannons.  

The QB's that have won the most superbowls in the history of the game, dont have cannons either.  The GOAT, regardless whether you consider that Brady or Montana, didn't have a cannon at all.  Their deep throws we're much more accurate though. 

Hell of a perception the masses have been painting on the huddle, since Young has been drafted, which doesn't jive with the history of the game.
