I'd rather win. What you should realize is that they were going to subject us to this, win or lose.

I would not. There isn't a team in the division that deserves to sniff the playoffs. Im not a player so it's easy for me. Adding another game I won't watch isn't something I need more of.

I think you are basically describing not being a fan of the team anymore. Do you watch the games on a week to week basis?

Nope. Just waiting for this build to end. I catchup after the games but Im not sitting through that garbage anymore.

Im here to make fun of this team until there is a reason to just enjoy the football again. It's been that way since '21. Watch some, tune out, watch some more, tune out again. I have said it before, this place is way more fun than anything they have fielded in years.

This is an AceBoogie ALT right?

Its not Ace Boogie. But this guy definitely left for a while to become a Patriots fan. Made a whole stink about it as he was leaving, too. He eventually came back because the Patriots were ass for a minute, too.

He has never been a fan. It was always fake.

You are basically describing what I just said, though. If your only motivation is to "make fun of the team" then I think it's basically over for your fanhood.

Hence why it's perplexing why anyone would want us to lose. Maybe if you were a Bucs fan that would make sense but not as a Panthers fan.

Again, you can't force fanhood on someone else. Everyone does it however they want regardless. Im doing me and cheering for them to lose on Sunday. Be perplexed I guess, it's really not hard once you understand we all can fan however we want. Im not in a cult so I really don't have to play by anyone else's rules bro.

I am not forcing fanhood, I am just pointing out that you probably left that behind and it isn't likely to come back. That's happened to be before in sports. You think it can be turned on and off but that usually only the case with bandwagoners.

If you were a hardcore fan, once that goes away, it rarely ever comes back.

But make no mistake, there is nothing to gain from losing and missing the playoffs. At really any level.

Im fine with not being hardcore, that's not why I ever liked football or the Panthers. I check in every season and if it's unwatchable I just do a condensed check-ins. It's all out of my hands but it's fun in different ways if your open to it.

See there is something for me to gain. If they lose then I get to laugh, if they win I get to laugh next week. You just can't see that and I can. Perspective is like that. I know they are going to pick up the 5th and nothing big will likely change but if Im wasting hope on a sport then I get to choose how I blow that hope. I choose to laugh and either way I am guaranteed to win again this season before another long offseason of disappointment.

stop the nonsense

stop the embarrassment

go back to watching The View with your girlfriend's other boyfriend

This team has not sniffed the playoffs in nearly a decade, a total abyss of pathetic display of professional football

Do I think this team if they get in the playoffs will win the Super Bowl, absolutely not

Would I be excited that this team made the playoffs, hell yea and deep down you'd give up making out with your first cousin on the weekend to go watch the playoff game

We need to win the division to set the blocks for next year

We have an up and coming coach who needs a mentor in his corner

a STUD for a GM who is COOKING

a wrecking ball for a DT

a stud for a corner

a young buck for a DE who is just a rook

a true #1 WR

a solid OL

a QB who is progressing

It's not perfect, it's not beautiful but I am beyond elated with the direction this team is going

I will be in Tampa cheering on the boys to bring the division back to Charlotte and so should you!

And for the national mouth breather association who will undoubtedly poo and flame everything I post.... have a blessed day

Agree.

Many players on this team work their asses off everyday to get to this point and fans have waited for years for an inkling of success. To pull for a loss at this point (as a fan) makes no sense to me. The Tanking argument (which I don’t get either) is closer to rational than this mindset IMO.

If you knew missing the playoffs this year meant we would be a perennial contender in 3 years, would you cheer for missing the playoffs this year?

How could anyone possibly know this?  We have missed the playoffs for how many years now, and what has that gotten us?

I'm not going to pretend like I know what the FO is going to do 3-4 months from now.  What I do know is the NFL season is extremely short, and the opportunity to see my favorite team host a playoff game for the first time in 10 years is something I want to see.  And it stuns me that there are Panthers fan who don't want to see that.

And again, to each their own - but I think some of you are focusing way too much on unknowns.  Do we really think, if this FO has any intentions of moving on from Bryce Young, that one game is about to make the difference with that?  Like, come on now.  In all likelihood, they have already made a decision.

I just think people should try and just enjoy the moment more.  The NFL changes fast.  Who says we don't go another 7-10 years after this without making the playoffs?

Getting to the playoffs would be cool. I was worried that the FO would see it as Bryce being successful but if the recent Canales conference is any indication the FO and coaching staff are seeing the same things we are seeing.
So I am just enjoying the ride. Hoping it is busily if to a better year next season, with another QB starting hopefully.
