So you seriously think Bryce was bad in college and his receivers made him look good? Oh wow.

I remember watching him at bama and thinking he throws a lot of wobbly non spiral balls that have very little velocity. Knew it would be a real problem in the NFL and it is.

Roger that. Bryce Young wasn't that good at Bama. He actually passed for all of those yards and TDs, and won a Heisman because of Metchie, Williams, and then Gibbs his junior year - even though he's a running back.

Beating out CJ Stroud for the Heisman with Njigba, Olave, Marvin Harrison, Egbuka, Garrett Wilson, and Treveyon Henderson.

Come on. I am not defending today's Bryce Young. He's playing bad football now, but that doesn't mean he wasn't balling at Bama.

Added: Happy New Year gents! May all your QB dreams come true in 2026.

Wouldn’t be the first time a QB has passed for a ton of yard and then sucked in the NFL. Happens all the time. Bryce never had to throw difficult balls at Bama. Everything was wide open and easy for him for the most part. If a play was contested it was college open not NFL open.
Bryce may have been a good college QB but he is one of the worst NFL QBs I have ever seen play for the Panthers.
Bryce has a ton of help in college where his size and arm strength was not a big issue.

I thought that was the point of the conversation.  Was Bryce just not good in college and was always a bad QB but was somehow carried to glory on the wings of elite surrounding talent and great coaching?

I think too many people see his numbers in college and think he is an amazing QB overall. He had the same issues he has now in college but it is college they were not as much an issue.
Once he got to the NFL his issues were compounded. Mediocre arm, small size and bad footwork.
