Has any team tried putting him at middle linebacker? This is one of the more puzzling draft busts I can remember

he has top 1% measurables, played multiple positions in college and obviously had the production

is it the systems he has always been in? Jeremy Chinn looked like Sean Taylor in Phil Snow’s defense and then couldnt get on the field with Evero

That's what he played in Arizona

Yes, and he’s not physical enough to take on and shed offensive linemen.

I think safety/nickel is his best spot, but don’t expect anything from him there. He was best as an overhang player at Clemson. Maybe he has some value as a reserve safety and priority special-teamer if the coaches feel better about him in his natural spot, but he’s probably just an end-of-year fill-in.

Maybe he’s worth having in camp. There are certainly guys with less potential.

His potential will clearly never be realized but he could be, as you said, a priority special teamer. He's athletic enough to potentially excel at that.

Aaron Curry 2.0. Perfect example of why there's no such thing as a sure thing in the draft. Sometimes even the safest looking picks where you think worse case scenario this guy is gonna be a decent NFL player and help a team still end up busting sometimes.
